Anything really ... I'm more interested in judging a song on its individual merits, or it really depends what mood im in at the time.

Right now im pretty chilled and laid back, listening to some Elliot Smith, Nick Drake and this new one i got by Travis - Love will come through

I listen to folk music - folks plays it, I listens.

Classic rock, country, alt country, folk, bluegrass, classic pop (Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, etc.), reggea, funk, and all kinds of other oddball stuff.

I think she'd die for Beethoven,
She loves the way Puccini lays down a tune,
And Verdi's always creeping from her room

(Freakin' At) The Freaker's Ball - Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show
(Shel Silverstein)

Well there's gonna be a freaker's ball (ha ha)
Tonight at the Freaker's Hall
And you know you're invited one and all
Uh oh

Come on baby's grease your lips
Grab your hats and swing your hips
And don't forget to bring your whips
We're going to the freaker's ball (yes)

Blow your whistle, and bang your gong
Roll up something to take along
It feels so good, it must be wrong
We're freakin' at the freaker's ball

Well all the fags and the dykes they're boogie-in' together
The leather freaks are dressed in all kinds of leather
The greatest of the sadists and the masochists too
Screaming please hit me and I'll hit you

The FBI is dancin' with the junkies
All the straights, swingin' with the funkies
Across the floor and up the wall
We're freakin' at the freaker's ball, y'all
We're freakin' at the freaker's ball

Everybody's kissing each other
Brother with sister, son with mother
Smear my body up with butter
And take me to the freaker's ball

Pass that roach please, and pour the wine
I'll kiss yours if you'll kiss mine
I'm gonna boogie 'til I'm cold blind
Freakin' at the freaker's ball

White ones, black ones, yellow ones, red ones
Necrophiliacs looking for dead ones
The greatest of the sadists and the masochists too
Screaming please hit me and I'll hit you

Everybody ballin' in batches
Pyromaniacs strikin' matches
I'm gonna itch me where it scratches
Freakin' at the freaker's ball, y'all
We're freakin' at the freaker's ball

We're at a ball
We're freakin' at the freaker's ball

listening to the Who!.

dunno why.............

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and a shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around

Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday

Then I'll get on my knees and pray

We don't get fooled again

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss

Venom

lately, Iced Earth has a permanent rotation in my cd player...who thought metal could be educational? Their latest is like a big history lesson...
anyone who loves old school Priest needs to get this album...the singer, Tim Owens replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest and even inspired the movie RockStar...his vocals on "The Glorious Burden" are insane....think Halford in his prime with a little extra edge...

Cool. Thanks for that. What I can't figure out is why you never hear them on the radio anymore. You hear a lot of drec from the eighties, but Madness never seems to get airtime. And they were huge when I lived in London in the 80s Maybe they weren't big in America.
