Only if the seperation is happening for political reasons is it a bad thing ;)

If its a group of gay / straight companies wanting to work together without any attached political redtape then i would say thats a good thing ;)

For about the first 10 minutes on Saturday we had an issue....

One person said to me, "Oh, I didn't realize this was a cruise for straight webmasters" and anotyher said, "Is this a Gay cruise?"

After everyone had been introduced nothing more was said and EVERYONE had a ball.

People are people.

But we were dickhead free, and I'm sure the same cannot be said for many other gatherings, be they segregated or not.

I should add (before someone else does!) that most don't talk about me to my face, and it's odds on that I upset SOMEONE at SOME stage (as I always do if I am with more than just myself ofr any length of time) and I clearly pointed out to all that the complaints department was located 10 yards aft of the boat ......

I digress.

People are people.

I'll go anywhere if the people are good.

If I go places they are not, I'll tell them so.

webmasters that mostly work in the BBW niche have been known to get together away from the main action of the big conventions. Sometimes it is just nice to focus on the area you work the most in without dealing with having to explain yourself and your niche every ten minutes.

i dont mind gay people, as long as they know their place. dont be too pushy about it, and of course, drink oout of the "gays only" water fountains, and of course, sit in the back of the bus
