Ive been looking over our networks ad impressions / click thrus / costs over the past 12 months and on average, we can display on a per month basis over 2 million ad impressions.

Anyone here have a working knowledge of CPM campaigns in the adult industry and specifically on webmaster traffic as oppose to surfer related traffic?

Think a CPM business model would float in the industry today?

Not on "run of the network"

only specific sites.

Otherwise, just as good as playing with adult traffic brokers.

Lee, IMHO, we need to bring adult-oriented B2B advertising models to mainstream. Not the other way around.

Harry.. in all honesty thatll never happen.

We have been trying to work the mainstream side of the resource boz for a few years now and many of the companies that are interested in advertising simply refuse to work on a model other than CPM or CPC.

Just as many resource / site owners in the mainstream world care less about recip linking, once they have traffic, unlike the adult industry, they tend to hold on to it for dear life ;)

We once worked on a link exchange for a couple of days on and off only to trade links then 2 hours later receive an email informaing us the links were being taken own because their search engine listings hadnt improved enough :biglaugh:

Gotta teach 'em bro. That's all.

And if sugar won't work, a missle launcher will do. :awinky:

Either way. It will happen. Simply because the CPM model is only good for branding, and smart companies want more than just branding, and other companies want results and don't give a damn about branding.

Meanwhile, yes, Mainstream Webmasters does offer a CPM model (for the idiots). Natch, none of the adult to mainstream companies want that beastie!
