was George Washington a flip flopper and a traitor or was he not????

Yes or No??

No doubt George Washington was a flip flopper.... Heck his actions as a commander for the British during the French/Indian war helped lead directly to the Revolution.

Luckily George made the right decisions....

To compare Washington to Kerry is silly.

Even if you consider Washington's flip flop from the crown ( pretty much the whole country flip flopped - plus I would argue it was merely a FLIP and not a flop since he did not try to go back -)

The essence of a flip flopper is to bounce back and forth on issues, based not on beleifs but on polling data and what is popular.

If Dean had not been so successful running as an anti-war candidate and forcing Kerry to out flank him, we would probably not be discussing this.

So blame Dean!

Dan, are you a moron????

George Washington plead alligance to the British Crown,
under Oath!
and...he betrayed the Crown, rebelled against it and caused the Crown to lose it's colony!

To put it in layman's terms,
it's like your commanding officer
(you had one, haven't you)
told you to turn around 180 degrees and shoot your fellow soldiers!

Would you still look for exciuses????

Repeat after me for all future references:

George Washington was a tritor and the biggest flip flopper The Crown ever had in Americas!

he couldn't go back and "flop" even if he wanted....there was a price on his head and he'd be hanged by the Crown if he even attempted to "flop"

serge, you should be very happy that washington(and the colonies) had the balls to decide and do what he needed to do back then. Can you imagine what this country would be still under the rule of the "crown"

Hell, you might still be in mother russia

Dan,
I can be delusional, but I am not either blind or have my brain filled to capacity.

The conversation is useless with you,
unless you accept the obvious and repeat after me:
George Washington was a traitor.

I have no time to waste on people who as a good book says:

"5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:"

I am not God, I have much less pacience

he saw what he needed to do and put together a small army and kicked the crowns ass.

Arafat was both a traitor and a freedom fighter..
he saw what he needed to do and sent kids with bombs straped to themselfs to kill civilins.

damn, is that the best you can do? of course he had to use some younger guys to kick the crowns ass. The Crown WAS the army of the day, massive military that covered the world. All he had was a few thousand untrained men that had the guts to fight for what they believed in.

Army against Army....................guess who won : ))))

now, what does that have to do with arafat sending kids out with bombs straped to themselfs into a resturant full of CIVILIANS?

also Dan as one that , rightly , is proud of military service.

During the war of indepence the militia forces in the South used concealment, surprise, and other guerrilla tactics to much advantage against the British and loyalist forces.

The tactics they used are commonly called asymmetric warfare.

Asymetric warfare is a term describing the tactics used when two forces of unequal strength meet and the weeker must resort to "guerilla" tactics.

Asymmetric warfare is increasingly referred to as "terrorism" by the superior military force enduring these tactics.

Therefore by Military definition George Washington was a terrorist.

Thank you very much...come again :)

looks to me like he's nothing but a terrorist, but then again, I'm not a expert on middle east affairs whatsoever. I do know that when you have to target civilins to get your point across, all you do is make your battle harder to win in the long run.

"" I do know that when you have to target civilins to get your point across, all you do is make your battle harder to win in the long run""

gee you mean like "Lynching" - named after a Col Lynch who in the war of Independence "lynched" civilian loyalists?

Or the common practice of tarring and feathering ( an action designed to...errr..oh yeah spread terror) loyalist Civilians.
