Isn't this the author of the "Geneva convention doesn't apply" memos?

Edit ... this is a patronage appointment of a party hack. What a fucking joke.

Not at all. As usual, Bush has selected a candadite about whom the most kind comment that can be made would be regarding his consistent, stellar mediocraty.

I can understand why you'd rather shift the conversation away from the total lack of qualifications of the candidate, but that won't fly.

I don't think Reno did such a bad job ... oh, I know the apologists and whiners in support of the Wackos in Waco don't think much of her, but I hold her as responsible for the deaths of those children as I do Rumsfeld for the deaths of Iraqi children.

Had I been AG at the time, the standoff would have lasted 48 hours. Period. Same holds true of the gun runner at Ruby Ridge.

Mike, I tend to agree with more of the positions that Alex presents than I do with yours - that's certainly true.

But the blind adherence to articles of faith ("Bush Bad"/"Bush Good") that the two of you present most of the time is absolutley indistinquishable.

Mike, I warned you last week, but you have decided not to heed my warning and called me Liberal again.
This time you gonna pay for it, as I warned you you will.
I see you Friday. Is your medical insurance affiliated with Boca Hospital?
I am taking you to shooting range on Saturday so we could settle this issue once and for all. Let's see who shoots like Liberal.
$500 per point is my best offer.
If you wanna go higher-
I am good up to $2000 per point.

You do realize, of course, that you will be accused of an anti-Latino bias for makiung that statement (or opposing any Latino Bush appointee, for that matter), don't you?

The one thing that research has turned up for him That I am greatly in favor of is he seems to adhere to the letter of the law.

He was the deciding vote in abortion notification to parents in Texas and voted against it going against the republican side.

His reason was that as a judge he needed to put personal beliefs aside and stick to the letter of the law. Puts him miles ahead of Asshat in my book.

Of course he is another Haliburton cronie.

I am begining to believe that porn is going to be very low on the admins list.

I am leaning towards solidifing the profits of the oil industry as the "unspoken focus" of this admin.

Patronage so blatant... ahh well.

Don't think he will actually get past the interviews, he already seems to have some nice "sound bite" sized baggage to get shot down with.
