We had some gorgeous aurora activity last night. It doesn't get like that so far south very often, so I went out and took a few pictures at around 11pm and then again at around 3am.

Here's a handy website to see if northern lights will be visible for you if you live anywhere up north in North American.

Enjoy... I did. :)

I'm also pleased with how the photos came out. I'm not much at photography.
I'll try a few different exposure times next time.

awesome Chris! I can never get photos to turn out but I am also clueless about photography.

hehe... yes I try all sorts of different things to see how they turn out.

Those pics were taken at 400 speed, 1/200th of a second. Maybe I should have increased the shutter exposure time.

I was north of the city (past St Eustache) last night, and the skies were alive. It was stunning.

I didn't have a camera with me (unusual) but I will head back out tonight if I think things are looking good, maybe shoot some video as well...
