So... if you voted Bush you are dumb, and if you voted Kerry you are smart... wow, I´m impressed by the "6 year old" mentality in that argument :)

Alex,
as we discussed before:
Faith - 1
Science - 0

oh well...there is always a next election, next Supreme Court, and I am sure they would find cure for Mike's Old Age Dimencia by the time he gets there,
either WITH stem cell research or without

Rolo,
the lower IQ of your wankers,
the richer they will make YOU.

At the bottom of the page it says:

"As a regular reader of the "Economist" I can confirm that this table (for the 2000 election) was indeed published in the 'Economist". However, a few issues later on, the 'Economist' published a retraction, saying the data was unable to be verified and possibly a hoax."

It figures a Kerry supporter would fall for a hoax.

I like the Gallup Colin posted:

Demographics from Gallup from final poll before election.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/content/?ci=13957

Men voted for Bush 56-44
Women voted for Kerry 52-48

White voted for Bush 57-43
Non white voted for Kerry 83-17 (black 93-7)

Bush won the age 30-64 vote
Kerry won the age 18-29 and 65+ vote

Kerry won Urban 56-44
Bush won Suburban and Rural 54-46

Kerry won among high school dropouts and post grads
Bush won among some college and college grads

Married voted for Bush 60-40
Unmarried voted for Kerry 60-40

Gunowners voted for Bush 65-35

Weekly church-goers voted for Bush 63-37
Seldom to never attend church voted Kerry 60-40

Vets voted Bush 60-40

Only problem is it says Bush won among SOME college and college grads. Well, duh. Of course he won among SOME.

BTW, what's a 'post grad'? Highschool grad?

Most of those don't surprise me....some would make it seem that educated and experienced voted for Bush. It's unfortunate IMHO, but I guess I have to swallow it with a little bit of honey. ;)

"some college" means people with some college work, not some of the people who had college.

Uhhh ... post-grad is usually considered to be continuing on after a bachelors, while some college means didn't get the bachelors.

I'm not sure which is more idiotic ... attempts to "prove" that Bush voters have a lower IQ than Kerry voters, or the attempts to prove that the Democratic party is dead.

I fuck up all the findings I think
34 year old college grad
gunowner, NRA member
personally anti-abortion, but feel it's the woman's choice
live in the city, grew up in the country
married
voted for Kerry
voted for marijuanna legalization (was a ballot issue 2 years ago in Nevada)
voted for gay marriage rights (was a ballot issue 2 years ago in Nevada)
feel religion is a tool for the evil to corrupt the uneducated and poor
feel that "god bless you" when I sneeze is more insulting than "go fiuck yourself" when I prove a point
am anti-death penalty unless it's an extreme case (being a poor, black man who's only eye witness to the crime was an old white woman is NOT extreme)
feel a society is stronger when it takes care of it's poor (giving them $200 per month in foodstamps and letting them live in cockroach infested slum buildings is NOT taking care of them when that same money could be spent educating them or forcing fathers to actually pay child support for their fucking kids instead of forcing a single mother to do it alone)
I think cops are generally good men and women who deserve resecpt but should break the bullshit "code of silence" when their fellow officers are scumbags who enjoy shaking down prostitutes
I think our soldiers are brave men and women but that doesn't mean I have to agree with every war they are thrown into
I think the Iraq war was wrong and there were bigger issues than Sadam's supposed WMD's (actually, maybe he should have them, because, didn't we sell some to him during the Reagan years??)
I think the fact Bin Laden is alive and still has the ability to make videotapes is more than enough reason to not have re-elected George W Bush
I'm proud to be an American and don't think pride in your country is a bad thing
I think that pinhead judge in bumfuck bilbebelt should be able to keep the statue of the Ten Commandment outside his building, but he'd better let me erect a statue of Bill Hicks and/or Bruce Campbell across the street

to be continued.....
;-)))

Gigi what is your educational level? Would you have voted for Bush?
I have some college, but then I had a family.

I love school and certainly have plans to return to college, probably major in Anthropology...I know I know....and become a librarian. ;)

The majority of my friends have bachelors of some sort...and my best friend is a lawyer. I watched her through her crim degree, helping her with essays and such, (she's the math person, I'm the english person) then on to law school. I learned a lot vicariously through her.

The majority of my family are teachers, mom, dad, uncles, aunts. I lived learning everyday. ;)

As for who I'd vote for, I can't honestly say for sure. I'm Canadian, so I really didn't put much into learning the different positions....I just knew what the average lookie loo would know, Bush = right, Kerry = left . I caught a few of the issues, but not enough for me to make a decision on.

Ultimately, I'm a leftie at heart...I believe in "Socialist" programs so long as they are being used by the truly needy. I believe in pro-choice, global conservation, gays being legally married, legalization of pot....hell, just read Sykk's post and that about sums it up.....EXCEPT for the gun issue....have all the guns you want for sport, but I don't believe in the right to carry handguns etc....

If I were American, I would have had this question to think about before voting:

Should we remove a president who is in the middle of a war? Honestly, I don't think so. He needs to complete the job. (and that includes finding Osama) I don't think it's in the best interest of the US to remove him in the middle of such a large issue, an issue that will ultimately change different aspects of the world.

For that reason, I probably would have voted Bush....but for every other reason...I most likely would have voted Kerry.
