Since I know that your spamming operations are all but shut down....your profit margin destroyed from the loss of exit traffic, prechecked cross sales exterminated and the sales of the "cure" isnt working....I figured I would save you guys some money on laywers so you can afford more furniture to toss at pools.... don't black out before you read this.

This is called Oprano Rewards or What Happens When the FTC Crawls Up Your Ass....

UPDATED STATEMENT 10/10/04:

From Sanford Wallace:

With regards to the allegations by the FTC...

It should be noted that neither I nor any company I control...

* have ever received a penny directly from any Internet consumers,
* place any direct media buys with banner or popup companies,
* develop any spyware or adware,
* attempt to collect any personal information from anybody without consent,
* knowingly participates in ANY scheme to collect personal information,
* develop or directly sell to consumers any anti-spyware software,
* develop or deploy zero-day exploits,
* intentionally cause damage to anything or anyone.

Our role is that of a webmaster/webserver and involvement with strategic
optimization to achieve greatest profitibility. The only income we derive
is from providing these services for other companies. Our services are
consistent with those of most webmasters/webservers.

My companies and I plan to COOPERATE with governmental investigations
and hope to show that our operations are legal. If in fact it is found
that any of our methods are in violation of any current laws, we will
immediately cease such activities.

Sanford Wallace, SmartBot.NET, Inc.

Any media inquiries should be faxed to 603-994-0153 on letterhead
and should include full contact information.

If you are a consumer concerned about egregious spyware on your computer,
we refer people to a company based out of Atlanta, Georgia that developed Spy Deleter. Please note that we are paid by them to advertise their product. We do feel it is a very effective product with good support.

Further we advise all consumers to visit microsoft.com and click on Windows Update. Always use anti-virus software like Norton. Keep your definitions current.
*****

So instead of whining that I'm prank calling you and your daddy or picking out the latest in pink fashion.... you might be better served copying this down to use when the FTC comes calling. Too bad the FTC can search the message base here where you referred to how you werent developing spyware but instead it was adware. I don't get dizzy and confused by the spin dance and neither did the FTC.
