Interesting that right now, Kerry is projected at the most electorl votes but has less of the actual vote...

Giant Douche 56% actual 66 electoral
Turd Sandwich 43% actual 77 electoral

and Ralphie just popped 1% of the actual

Yes, earlier I said "I'm just saying if Kerry has those kind of numbers in the exits in that many states once the polls close there is a very good chance he will win."

Caveat included. Those "exits" were at 4pm ET, 1pm PT. - probably based on half a days data.

BTW, Every state so far has gone with the RealClearPolitics.com average. The average of Gallup/Zogby/etc has been quite accurate.

I'm saying if you use good methodology the error in your results will be predictable. (correct to within x% y% of the time) . An exit poll conducted halfway through the day is
no good because the sample cannot by definition be a random sample of the entire vote.

Bush 193
Fl 27 220
MI 17 237

AZ 10 257

Iowa's counting machine broke down, so they won't have numbers until tomorrow.

This is getting tiring.... They better come up with a clear winner in the next couple of minutes because I want to go to bed dammit

At the end of the day, it goes to show only that the electoral college system ends up giving weight to some voters, and taking it away from others. Popular vote would have settled this a long time ago (not the way I want it settled, but I really don't care).

Your forefathers created a funky system, and now you are paying for it.

They really should pass a law called the "Provide Equal Election Results" law (PEER). In that law, it would be illegal for any state to announce it's results until all states and signalled that they are complete. At that point, all results are released simultaniously. That would avoid this bizarre focusing on one or two states.

Gee, anyone who would spend two minutes checking would realize that voting form prime minister in canada would be difficult, as the system is not set up in that manner. We don't pretend to be actually voting for a leader.

Wig, ya know what? Good idea. thanks.

You have to pay attention to the words.

I pledge allegiance to the

We're not pretending anything. We're voting in accordance with the procedure outlined in the Constitution - one that makes perfect sense for the United STATES of America.

That was the part that got me.

It's statements like that which cause people to use the words elitist and liberal in the same sentence and in a derrogatory way.

It's a shame.
