I disagree with them on most of the issues. But you know what?

In 2000, people in Afghanistan didn't debate stem cell research. They debated whether people should be allowed to keep song birds. Verdict—no. In 2000, people in Afghanistan didn't debate gay marriage. They debated whether or not priceless works of antiquity should be shot at with tanks. Verdict—yes. In 2000, people in Afghanistan didn't debate whether a girl on LiveJournal should be able to wish death to the President without being visited by the Secret Service, they debated whether girls should learn how to read and write. Verdict—no.

And Americans—Democrat, Republicans, Libertarians—sat back and said, "That sucks, but it has nothing to do with us."

Now we have a choice between a pair of candidates who have belatedly come to understand that it does, in fact, have something to do with us, and a pair of candidates who still don't understand it.

I think Buff is from the Ann Coulter school of though on terrorism....

We should invade their countires, kill their leaders, convert them all to Christianity....

I may not agree with, but its more of a plan then Kerry has!

But Serge, we are not living 1,000 years ago.

Islam is roughly 1,000 years behind Christianity. There has been no reformation, counter-reformation, and the years of liberalization...

It is not my idea Serge, but surely you can come up with a better arguement. Maybe something like, if they were Christian more boys would be getting molested... or they would appoint Ashcroft as a Mullah and ban porn on the internet!

But doesn't "freedom" mean that you don't convert anyone? Can you be free to choose communism? Free to choice an Islamic state? Or are people only free to choose christian centric democracy because that is the Bush wants it?

It sounds more like "We are going to educate those savages", which is pretty much as dumb as it comes.
