Anyone doing anything special for Halloween? I spoke to my wife last night about maybe going to some haunted houses over the weekend. There is a Paramount amusement park in Charlotte called Carowinds that does a halloween thing.. they call the park Scarowinds during October. I'm considering going to that on Halloween but the park is only open for 5 hours. I've never been to this amusement park so I still might go.

I was asking my wife about the cost of haunted houses in Charlotte.. The last haunted house I went to was in Dallas and the prices ranged from $13-$20. Wife was stunned.. she tells me how it is less expensive in Charlotte. I went online last night and found an old gold mine that they make into a haunted house and a hayride through the woods for $4 per person.. and if you only want the hayride or the haunted house you can just pay $2. Damn thats cheap..

This is my favorite:

"Bring chairs and blankets to sit on. Be sure it is something that you won't mind having a little pug pee on.", lol!

This will be my 8th one I think - they used to be held at a private home and all the pugs could run around off leash. It was a lot of fun but the big ones bring in the $$$ for rescue so that's good too :)

I have kids, so we'll be frollicking through the neighborhood on a candy mission...
then I'll come home and watch the Aqua Teen Hunger Force marathon on Adult Swim.

Normally, we hit Halloween parties, as they always have great ones at the casinos, but this year, sitters are a bit harder to find, so we're just going to do some family stuff and maybe do a small Halloween party Saturday night for friends, neighbors and the kids.

My kids finally go back to school on Monday after a three week trackbreak, so they'll be going to bed somewhat early on Sunday night anyways

My wife was saying that kids would trick or treat on Saturday around here.. that they wouldn't do it on Sunday because thats "God's Day". Someone help me I'm in the bible belt!!! haha

I bet Halloween in Vegas would be fun..

Ouch!

A neighbor of mine is doing a party on saturday. I love it, I have none of the trouble of hosting, and I can just stumble back whenever I please... good times.

I was thinking of dressing as one of my friends....

I'm having a scary Halloween this year.... I'll be dropping my teenagers off to their first concert without hub or I attending with them. We'll be driving down to UCSD for the 10/31 Good Charlotte/Sum41 concert. *sigh*

So hub and I have about 7 hours to kill in San Diego... we'll probably watch a nice ocean sunset, hit a seafood restaurant, do a little shopping and then go by all our old stomping grounds that we used to go to when we were dating (another lifetime ago!).

Unforunately the Chargers/Raiders game is also scheduled for Sunday... hopefully the freeway won't be like a parking lot on the way down there...

Well I live with snakes and lizards
and other things that go bump in the night
Coz to me everyday is halloween
I have given up hiding and started to fight...
I have started to fight...

Well any time, any place, anywhere that I go
all the people seem to stop and stare
they say 'why are you dressed like it's halloween?
you look so absurd, you look so obscene'

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me?
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world...

Well I let their teeny minds think
that they're dealing with someone who is over the brink
and I dress this way just to keep them at bay
coz' halloween is everyday...
It's everyday...

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me?
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world...

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me?
I'm not the one that's so absurd...

Why hide it?
Why fight it?
Hurt feelings..
Best to stop feeling hurt
From denials, reprisals
It's the same it's the same in the whole wide world...

Tommorow a big group of us is going to the Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens. Should be a blast.

Saturday night, we are heading down to Guavaween in Ybor City. It is very similiar to Mardi Gras. My costume is going to rock!!

Halloween night, probably hang around houe and scare the little kids who come by....

Think i'll hit the suburbs and go trick or treating with my sister in the afternoon, then there's a costume party at crobar, if I ever get around to gettin a nice costume. I'll probably put some grey sprayon dye in my hair, rub some dogshit under my armpits and go as brand0n.

actually, I was thinking of the Type-O Negative song "Black No. 1"

She's in love with herself.
She likes the dark.
On her milk white neck.
The Devil's mark.
It's all Hallows Eve.
The moon is full.
Will she trick or treat.
I bet she will.

She's got a date at midnight.
With Nosferatu.
Oh baby, Lilly Munster.
Ain't got nothing on you.
Well when I called her evil.
She just laughed.
And cast that spell on me.
Boo Bitch Craft.

Yeah you wanna go out 'cause it's raining and blowing.
You can't go out 'cause your roots are showing.
Dye em black.
Black, black, black number 1

Little wolf skin boots.
And clove cigarettes.
An erotic funeral.
For which she's dressed.
Her perfume smells like.
Burning leaves.
Everyday is Halloween.

Loving you was like loving the dead.
