what sort of tree is this?

it is over by a friends house, was not sure what type of tree/cactus it was, so i took a picture with my camera phone. Asked a lady at the local nursery and she told me it looked like a johua tree, but after comparing to some pics online, i do not agree with her

any idea? i want to pick one up

i agree, was very surprised when they turned out that well, i never took camera phones seriously before, it was an instant of necessity :)
