If it came down to the choice of losing one of the above, to guarantee an end to terrrorist attacks on american soil. What would you choose, or would you choose?

Fortunately we don't have to give up any of it.

However, historicly in times of war the Federal Gov't has tighten some freedoms. Lincoln, FDR both violated Constitutional Rights on a mass level.

Sometimes it is called for in the short term.

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I say just issue a mandatory gun rule, put guns in every house, ( you bet when the time to choose comes then people will do the right thing)

i don't think the choices are fair, given the number of idiots who think most of those things have been taken away from them completely anyway.

It's like the people who think flag burning should be illegal.

I don't like fly burning myself. But I respect that someone has the right. And those who protest seem to forget both that the person has the right to do it and that they should be thankful they have the right to protest against it.

When symbols become more important than the ideals they symbolize they cease to be sybmols.

In any event, same with giving up freedom in order to have freedom. It's just all wrong and backwards logic.
