Donut holes are great! You cut the middle outta something and sell both pieces separately for more than you'd get for the original whole... that's good old fashioned marketing!

not being a donut eater I beleive that... but my kids made me take them to a Krispy Kreme, 50km drive away, a few months back.... and only then did I truley understand homer's drool.

Grimm,

Far as I know their machines recycle the dough from the holes. Only takes about 7 'holes' to equal the dough in one donut. You can sell dozen holes for a buck, so would make more $ but holes cost more to make as 7 holes soak up more grease and use more glaze than 1 reg donut. They also require more space and handling and are generally a PITA to mess with...

Never been in one either but worked in dad's donut shope for 10 years as a kid... lol
