Looking for some info about Washington DC.. I am looking to go next May so I have some time but dont want to wait till the last minute.

I want to be around Judiciary Square while I am in town.

My friends are staying in Fairfax, VI which I think is about 15 miles away.

What is the best airport to fly into ?

Any good areas to stay / not to stay around Judiciary Sq ??

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Billy

Dulles and DC Nat'l are both a pain in the ass in their own right, and beltway traffic is a royal pain in the arse. You might consider flying into Richmond instead.

Problem with Richmond is you still have to travel 95 North into the hell known as I-495 (Capitol Beltway)

Still think arriving late evening is the way to go to avoid as much traffic as possible

Never driven LA but have driven Manhattan and I have to think I-495 is as bad if not worse than mid-day Manhattan
