Design Contest Number 2

Logo for a mainstream jewelry site- Must be usable for Web and Print, resizable, all that.

Site is http://www.weekendjewelry.com (in progress, so please don't tell me about our fuckups, I am adjusting it by the minute...lolol)

Current Logo is on the index page. This is Jen's logo so please be nice in any criticism (Jenny pays the bills and picks the winner). But the logo gives you an idea of the direction she is trying to go. Weekend, informal, relaxed, comfortable.

Winner gets $100.00 via Paypal
Deadline is Next Thursday at 6:00 Central Time. Payment will be made Thursday night if there is a winner and the funding from my bank to paypal has gone through (I normally keep it unfunded so I transferred in about 10 minutes ago and they say 3-4 days, so it should be in there by Thursday) Payment by check can be arrannged for non paypal folk.

Again, same rules apply as contest 1. We think we will get something usable out of it, in which case, we pick one we like and winner gets the entire $100.00

In the case that Jen does not like any of them, a combined vote (Here and at GFY) will be taken among the members of the respective boards and the top 4 will get $25 each and we will not use the design. The vote will be on a curve, in that it will be based on a percentage of voters on each board to stop one board from putting their favorite in place over another board. You would be able to vote one time on each board.

If I left any details that you want to know out then please post in this thread.

New rule added after initial post: If we don't get at least 5 entries, no contest.

Well, this apparently was another bad idea..lol...

The only responses over at the zoo so far are complaints that 100 is way too low. Oh well, I was hoping some of the hotshot kids over there might want to whip us out something. Instead I have Amp in my thread offering to do it for 8K..lolol...

We are on a shoestring on this stuff always. And the joke of it is that either Jen or I have enough artistic skill to do it on our own. We are looking for new ideas, not an entire campaign. So I will leave it up here and if all I get is shit over there, I'll shut it down over there.

Well, I just canceled the contest over at GFY.

I kind of forgot you did that stuf Mark. I even looked at your stuff one night and thought about asking you to do something for us and then lost the mental note ya know.

That would be cool and you are close by which makes it even better. I don't have Jen set up with icq on her puter but maybe after dinner I'll get her on with you. Thanx
