Two (2) Design Contests - Contest Number 1

Ok, I am going to post this both here on Oprano and over on Lenses board. I am posting it here first, but I think most of the designers that would be interested in this hang at GFY, don't know if they lurk here or not.

Contest #1

TGP (text and thumb interchangeable) design and Logo for www.AmericanSexSites.com American Sex Sites

Winner gets $150.00 via Paypal
Deadline is Next Thursday at 6:00 Central Time. Payment will be made Thursday night if there is a winner and the funding from my bank to paypal has gone through (I normally keep it unfunded so I transferred in about 10 minutes ago and they say 3-4 days, so it should be in there by Thursday) Payment by check can be arrannged for non paypal folk.

I think there will be at least one or two that I like so in that case, winner takes all and I get full rights to the design and logo.

If I do not like any of them, a combined vote (Here and at GFY) will be taken among the members of the respective boards anf the top 3 will get $50 each and I will not use the design. The vote will be on a curve, in that it will be based on a percentage of voters on each board to stop one board from putting their favorite in place over another board. You would be able to vote one time on each board.

I do not have any clear idea in my head of what this should look like other then a picture of a red/white/blue color scheme. It does not have to red white and blue. Give me what you can come up with, pretty much anything goes so if you think it fits the name do it.

If I left any details that you want to know out then please post in this thread.

I almost went to a couple of designers that I've used before, but thought what the hell, maybe have some fun while we're at it.

lololol...Now I'm just depressed, I gues this whole thing is just making me look cheap. I knew it wouldn't attrcat much attention over here, but over there usually you dangle a $20.00 contest in front of them and they come out of the woodwork. I dangle $150.00 for a fucking tgp design (bought 8 the other night for $500 so I know 150 isnt a real bad price) and I don't even get a fucking reply. sheez.

I dont think it makes you look cheap. 150 is a nice price I think. You have some folks that think they should get a grand for a TGP skin thats not so heavy with graphics....I say bullshit.

Branding is the first thing I think you need to consider with a site after youve committed to niche and name.

$150 seems fair price IMO... Any size requirements or layout styles you are partial to? Knowing how you'd like it laid out would help in designing complimentary graphics to both support site theme and draw attention to 'target' areas...

Damn Sare I was just trying to let tell you that the price wasnt bad you were offering as a prize and the level you should expect. Ill be happy to have our Fat Fucking Designer take a look at what you have in mind.

I was afraid that youd get 3 clowns scamming you for 50 bucks is all.

I think my guy is probably going to kick me square in the ass now for the extra work.

I guess I shouldnt show you the what happens when I add in Loki as a flash designer for the front of this site and the Fat Fucking Designer on the back end....

Nice work on the backend, colors came out great (and red ain't easiest color to work with at all)

I will hit you up Gonz and we can talk, but I think I will look at Mark's stuff too. Keep it in the family and all if that is ok with you.

I am moving way too fast tonight and ending up taking stuff the wrong way for some reason. I posted the fucking contest in the middle of the debaltes, forgot all about them. So, folks are probably gonna be like "what the fuck" because I posted a contest and 40 minutes or so later took it down without stating any reason.

I've just got too much shit going on I guess, end up feeling pretty much the fool right about now. Isn't the first time, probably won't be the last.

But Idon't want to do a nervous breakdown thing on the boards tonight ya know, so I think I am out of here for right now. Fuck

Mark can get you hooked up as easily as I can. My concern was that you didnt end up spending 150 and getting nothing. No sweat either way....Ill get my guy to do it if need be and I am very confident in Marks ability as well.

Hell he doesnt know it yet but hes about to have to work on a FFN jersey design for Vegas.
