One does not become the President of the United States by being stupid.

You may not agree with his policies, but the man is not stupid.

I always find it ironic that on one hand people accuse Bush of being stupid, and a moron - yet the same people claim he has moved an entire Nation to war just to put money into the pockets of big oil and Halliburton.

Well if that was the case, then Daddy would have had 2 terms rather then 1.

Mike, nobody has suggested that Bush himself pushed the country to war, nor that bush BY HIMSELF has done anything else. He is a front. Out of all the clowns in his posse, he is has the best look, the best public face. You think there is NO coincidence that a company that the VP ran and still gets paid from ended up with huge no bid contracts during the war?

Come on. Even you can see it. Take off those rose colored republican glasses for a minute, you will see things so much clearer!

Alex, I think our political system is flawed. We continue to get a bunch of chumps running for top elected office. Why don't we have top business people moving to politics after they are finanically sound? This is what our Founding Fathers imagined back in the day.

The reason why, is that successful corporate leaders do not want to have to face the same issues Cheney has with Halliburton.

I truly pity people who beleive Bush/Cheney would sacrifice American lives for a few more dollars to their bottom lines. I find it dishonorable. I have always challenged people who attacked Cheney's ties to Halliburton to list other Construction Companies that could pull off such large projects. No one ever produces a list.

I guess if Bill Gates was VP, we could not allow Iraquis to run Windows on their computers.

The same people who make these charges are the ones who normally compare Bush to Hitler.

Sounds like you are speaking of someone specific. Fill us in.

This is just like me saying Bush is in power because God wants it that way.

I hope the left start working on their excuses. Jimmy Carter is trying to undermine the eletion results already. Other rats are starting to jump off the ship.

Bush is going to win. I did not think this a few months ago, but Bush will win. The biggest reason is that Kerry is a Elitist Yankee who has no vision, but says/does whatever is politically expediant.

I cannot wait for debate.... I hope Kerry practiced keeping his blow hard answers to under 90 seconds!

Daddy got beat too bad to make up the difference with dirty tricks. Bush Jr. didn't. The vote was close enough so that his brother and his Florida campaign manager who was also Fla. Secretary of State were able to obfuscate and deny the totals enough to kick it up to the conservative supreme court.

You can't steal an election outright in this nation yet, but if you're crooked enough you can sway a close one with legal and illegal machinations. As far as stealing it outright, we'll probably have to wait until his second term is nearly expired, at which time we'll all find out it's just too dangerous to hold elections until the war with Syria - War with Iran - War against Terrorism, porn or drugs is over.

well, since we now KNOW beyond the shadow of a doubt that there were no WMD's in Iraq, that Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11, and that Bush presented manufactured evidence which he knew was false to the world as his 'proof' AND that the Bushies outed Valerie Plame because her husband wouldn't get with the program, what would you say was his reason for going to war with Iraq? Think he did it for fun?

He did it for his Saudi pals and for the oil industry. And why shouldn't he? There will always be idiots in this country who'll believe whatever they're told and damn the evidence.

Said it before and I'll never stop saying it

Anyone who aspires to run for the office of the President of the United States of American is .......

..... just by that fact is .......

............................ unfit for the job

What kind of egomaniac what's to be the single most powerful man/person in the world?

Even though it's open for debate about the Pres of the USA being the world's single most powerful man, it's still got to be pretty close

And to whom do you have to sell your soul to to get there. Mr Smith goes to washington is cinema. Anyone who aspires to run for the highest seat in the land, hits his neice out of the box. Campaign finance reform needs to happen. Let the federal governme=nt Put a salary cap on these guys

History has tried hard to teach us that we can't have good government under politicians. Now, to go and stick one at the very head of the government couldn't be wise.

You will never convince a hardcore republican that Bush is an idiot. It’s senseless to talk politics without a heated agenda. Mike, you’re right, our political system is flawed but I don’t think another is selected. I think the whole arena is bullshit no matter how you slice the pie.

Aside from all that… I’m sitting there watching the debate and thinking how embarrassed I am. There are a whole lot of people laughing their asses off. I’m sure of that.

I'm voting NOT because I'm a great Kerry fan but because I truly feel that man needs to get out of office. That's just how I feel...personally.
