We're starting to see the effects here. The news says by 2PM it'll be right over MikeAI and I. We haven't had a direct hit of hurricane force winds yet, so this will be interesting.

There no bad hurricanes, just not enougth wine!

Well the winds have died down here and they just restored power about 15 minutes ago :)

Looks like we didnt sustain any real damage to the property upon initial inspection :)

My power came back on about a hour ago.

A really huge ficus tree on the next block took out the power lines and part of the homeowner’s roof. I never knew that ficus trees do not have deep roots and fall over real easy.

On the plus side I can now put up all my storm shutters in about one hour and can take them all down in half that time.

Check list for next year's storm season
Generator
Extra cordless screw driver for putting up shutters as one goes dead before they are all up
Lots of weed
No more big ficus trees on my property
All trees trimmed at start of season

They are starting on my new roof on the 30th. Hopefully it will not get removed a few days later by another hurricane.

Just wanted you to know that there were no power outages in our area... No flooding and very few trees, just a lot of rain and I spent Sunday at the pool :)

I'm here. Lost power for a few days. Lost one shed, all the screens on my deck, a few trees. This is the third one that came really close to us. Too close.
