This is the reaction I was looking for in person but never got.

I am not sure if peopel did not read the paid for by al-quada part, or if liberal hippie are so pacifists they won't say anything.

Of course Tampa is a military town, and pretty conservative.

It is a fact that terrorists leaders would pefer Kerry, he would not be as agressive as Bush, and this make their jobs easier. The funny thing is Kerry keeps getting more and more dovish every time he opens his mouth.... trying to keep his base of assorted wackos excited.

LOL.. I was just saying the opposite about that.

Why would Bin Laden want to risk having Kerry come in and change focus and actually hurt his winner record possibly?

I think Al Quieda would clearly prefer the status quo... or to totally undermine elction system rather than change parties.

Yeah I read an aricle saying bin laden would prefer Bush because he will continue to rush into Arab counries causing war, and hence create a backlash on the "arab street" creating a revolution in the middle east and creating Bin Laden's dream of a pan-arab super state.

It is a good theory, but even after invading Iraq, there has not been much movement in the "arab street: The princes in saudi arabia are still in clar control, Egypt has not burst into revolution. So I don't give much credit to this.

Bin Laden is hiding in some hole in the middle of tribal areas in Pakistan, he moves every day, and has a big target on his head.

Bin Laden was offered up on a silver plater to the last democrat President, but was turnd down. Do you really think Bin Laden thinks Kerry is tougher the Clinton?

It's a nice political issue but probably not relevant who bin laden would prefer anyway I guess.. Whoever wins will be doing their best and I'm sure You and most other Americans will get behind them.

Taking politics out of it though, and based on what the public has been able to see so far, even you must have some concern that Bin Laden could be taking this time to regroup and maybe the strategy has been worng?

Again I don't think it really should be an election issue, but if Kerry is elected I will actually have more hope that the world can escape from this war sooner than if Bush is re-elected.. but I also don't think it's about who is prepared to order bombs away faster.. it's simply who might find out a way to get the job done better and faster.. And on that score Kerry's decison making experience under fire would give me some of the faith in that president that you have in Bush now.

I probably feel just as mystified that you could think Bush is better than Kerry in any area on a personal level, man -v- man!

Not based on policies... based on his natural abilities... Dubbya has that nickname for a reason... Americans everywhere were ashamed of their foolish looking president who somehow slipped into office... until 9/11.

and on the other side of the room we have Kerry.. I don't even see a contest let alone an argument over who might be a better man or leader. If Kerry was incumbant Bush wouldnt stand a snowflakes chance in hell against him imho.

PS.. if we ever go down in an airline accident in the desert together with those 2... You can follow the group lead by Bush to safety... I'll wait around with Swift Boat capt Kerry thanks ;-)

Think about it...why should they? They have a centralized location of crusaders. They're still bombing other locations as well - but intelligently focusing on where they can get the easiest access & most damage to westerners. You've got a huge population of imperialists & supporters right there in Iraq. Why the fuck not shoot the fish everyone hates right there in the barrel? Why waste time in other "non occupied" Arabic countries...where the PR could backfire - drawing the piss poor religious nuts & garnishing sympathy in is a lot easier when you're killing infidels on Arabic land after they've had images of our bombs blowing little kids apart.

The strategy is working brilliantly.

Then why do they continue to kill non-westernerns in Saudi Arabia? In Iraq the terrorists are happy to blow up Iraqi civlians, and behead other muslims ( Turks, and some Philipinoes I beleive).

It is a complicated situation... with no easy solutions. I think our strategy shold be multipronged and flexible.

I have met Bush, one in 88 where I spoke with him for 20 minutes, and then in 2000 at a business luncheon. I also have friends who are pretty close to Bush. ( including the former Gov of La and his chief of staff) I trust these guys, they are both very successful people who got into politcs late after making their fortunes. I respect their opinion, I beleive Bush is a qualified leader. He may not be great on details, but when you are CEO you don't have to be. I don't handle the details for my companies....

I have never met Kerry, what I havee heard from a few people who have is that he is aloof, and aristocratic. These are not bad traits for a leader, and I think Kerry could be effective in leading - I just don't think he has a vision of where he wants to lead to. The anywhere but Bush direction is not clear. His record in the Senate is a joke, he played no part in any major legislation over his whole career. I think Kerry would cut and run on ANYTHING if it was poltically expediant, I do not think he is a man of moral clarity - he is like a feather in the wind. That scares me.

Bush might has some wacky simplified ideas, but you know where he stands, and he takes the heat for his decisons and does not waiver ( or at least not as much as Kerry does)

That might have something to do with the "supporters" of the infidels on holy land in Saudi Arabia I mentioned. Yer gonna always have unintended casualties but the turks/flips/iraqi police recruits & officers are working for/cooperating with the occupying forces in Iraq.

The only reason it's complicated is because Jesus, wolfowitz & cheney told the prodigal son to create the camel jockey version of vietnam.
