Reading an article in newsweek yesterday.

The one Ace in the hole Bush has that I think will put him over the Top is to announce a new Attorney General

The whispers they say have that position slated for Rudy Guilianni (sp?)

Adding Rudy to the administration will positively give him the swing needed to carry Jersey (which has become quite close, and might even win him New York.

Unless Kerry can pull some pictures of Bush in a diaper with a shetland pony, I am seeing 4 more years

As I understand, Rudy was not too popular until the way he handled himself during 911.

Not sure he would be that much better than Ashcroft for our Industry. His name is more familiar, is riding on high popularity, has more influence - and as I understand it is not the least bit Adult friendly. ( I do have to say that Times Square looks and feels a lot safer than in the past.) Maybe some one in New York knows more about him than what we see on TV. He is a National hero. It is almost sacreligious to say anything bad about him.

Rudy was an extremely successful prosecutor before he became mayor. Combine the legal experience with the administrative experience, and it would be very hard to argue he lacked the qualifications.

That being said - even though he was a hero after 9/11, he is also one of the folks that the neocons most often label a RINO (pro-choice, pro gun control and all that rot). Not sure how the born-agains would feel about taking the AG's office away from "one of theirs" and giving it to an infidel. It sure wouldn't make them vote for Kerry, but it could convince them to stay home ... and Bush can't afford that.

It would give fence sitters, undecided, indipendant a reason to vote for Bush.
