You're in Nola or Tampa, Michael?

It's the big thing on the news right now, and hell, I'm in LA --

I did more damage than this when I was a kid. Who ever heard of a hurricane with no rain?

Fast go out and get some giant Glad Bags and put M3 Server in them.

Probably would be a good idea to get a giant wind up power supply at the same time.

Fuck, Fuck FucK!!!
I hate hurricanes!

On the bright side you get to go camping in your own home… wait I don't like camping.

Still waiting to hear from CT. Talked to him last night about 10 my time and it was "hammering" them but it looks like the eye was pretty far east of where he is.

Just heard that a part of Interstate 10 collapsed.

Insurance rates are going to be as much as house payments next year. The whole SE of the country has been hit one way or another with these storms, and it is not over yet....:-(

These storms need to stop, Charley exited right over top of us in New Smyrna Beach [15 miles S of Daytona], and Frances had us in hurricane winds for 19 hours. So many of our friends lost everything or they had 6 digits of damage.

I still have not made it to my house inland where trees are fallen all over the back and it blew all my pool screens off.

I hope this TS Jeanne just becomes a surfer event....

But then again these storms gave this lesbian a chance to play with her power tools to board windows :-)))

I understand Ivan is suppose to head up to the Tennessee / North Carolina border and come to a stop. The mountains have already had tons of rain.. A report this morning said that they are expecting as much as 15 inches of rain in the mountains. This is going to cause massive flooding..

And yet another one on the way.. Jeanne

Nooo Not the Florabama. I was just there July 5th... and 6th and 7th. Hell, we hold our family reunions there.

I may have to go home now and lie down...lay down... hell, pass out.

As for Mom... still no word yet on her home. But, she lives 2 miles from the Florabama... oh well.

OMG... she may have to live with me :zoinks:

I really may have to go home now.

LOL! I have a generator I have never hooked up. And I have 20 gallons of gas in the storage shed which will probably never be used in the generator.

Correction - I have 14 gallons of gas because my car ran out once and I had to put gas in it and I had to use a gallon to put into a lamp I bought :awinky:

I learned a lot about generators over the last week or two.... noisy fuckers... but can sure keep your food cold and the lights on !

I had to bring one down to FL from Detroit, to power the folks up for a week till their power got back on.... man.... that place is a mess down there.... not much structural damage ( cept for things made of aluminum) but there sure are a lot of blown down trees....
