Kobe Bryant got off.

Go figure.

I am sort of getting jack of high profile superstars in the USA seemingly walking on water through shit like this.

All except Tyson of course.

Let's hope that the civil suit finds some justice.

Maybe it's just me, I dunno.

But something stinks and it ain't rabbit.

I completely agree that celebrities get preferential treatment. However, this womans claim seems very very spotty. As a woman I have a really hard time believing you could be sexually assaulted and then have sex the next day!

I suspect that he did cross the line. I also think the girl has lots of issues and the prosecutor was going to have a hard time proving the case against Bryant. She will get a chunky settlement in a civil case I'm betting.

is it coincidental that the day they release her personal info, the charges are dropped? maybe she has a history of this sort of thing (setting up atheletes and such)

another rumor is (and I don't know how true)
is she got paid to drop charges and a backhanded apology from Kobe

moral of the story: if you're an NBA superstar, don't rape a crazy chick...

I only wish it could have been: no means no

What backs that up is She decided she no longer wanted to testify in the case according to radio reports
and the Judge or Prosecutor stated that was why the trial was over

I may not have that exactly 100% correct but it was reported something like that on the radio as I was listening yesterday

The district attorney, Mark Hurlbert, said in a statement on Wednesday that the only reason the case was collapsing was the reluctance of the star witness to continue, and that if he had his way, he would still take his evidence to a jury.

Hard to imagine why she'd be reluctant to testify after her personal information was "accidentally" released THREE TIMES and she and her family were receiving death threats..........

I've not seen proof of that, have you? Neither have I seen proof that this is something no females ever do after rape.
