View Full Version : Question to KK about shoes!

Ok.. I just gotta ask. My wife came and visited me the other day and we were at the mall and she was loking at shoes and remarked how she really liked a pair and I was like "You've got a pair practically, if not exactly like those" and she said. "It doesn't matter as I collect shoes and if i want to add it to my collection of shoes I don't wear." I couldn't believe it. She has a whole bunch of shoes she never even wears. Do you do this too and what is it with women and shoes?

Oh fuck, he just thru pandora's box wide open....

pandora's box is gonna get sore by the end of this thread :biglaugh:

TE, straight to the serious side of the issue - women tend to like to accumulate material items more than men do in general. I think its got something to do with our generations being the first where women actually have money of their own to buy stuff.

But I've never heard anyone say they would buy something to put in a collection of things they will never wear - was she being serious?! I have in the past bought plenty of shoes/clothes i've never worn, but when I bought them I had every intention of wearing them!!

These days I never buy anything I don't really need - but I can always go shopping in my closet :biglaugh:

*KK*
08-30-2004, 04:38 AM
Well, hmmmmm. I certainly intend to wear everything that I buy, but sometimes it just doesn't happen right off... I'm still really pissed because I gave away some pants that I didn't realize I liked until I needed them now to travel in!

Shoes are a hard one though, they look great in the store, snuggling up with their brother and sister shoes, but when you get the suckers home every now and then they just don't behave well enough to be let outside.

I have many shoes... and yes I wear them all... although I do admit that most of them have never actually touched the floor.

LMAO

Brilliant Peaches.. and usually that is me...... but when it comes to shoes..... its my big weakness, but I do wear all of them eventually. Some I just wear more then others, but then again I do end up barefoot most of the time....

Besides - pretty shoes are a good excuse to have pretty feet which means PEDICURE!!! How can you not love having someone on their knees, soaking your feet, rubbing your feet and then painting them pretty colors? To then have them go into pretty shoes?

Ladies will never complain as long as you buy and wear ADIDAS.

Kacy
08-31-2004, 09:10 PM
My name is Kacy and I am a shoeaholic :) But I can admit it, hehe

I love shoes, I have 100's of pairs. I don't wear them all very much though. I buy a pair to match a particular outfit that I usually only wear once and so then the shoes don't get worn again, but they are in my "collection" :) I of course have certain shoes I wear on a reular basis. I will get cute pair and wear them alot and then get sick of those and move onto to something else, whateve is in style.

I think its just a girl thing :)

Marc Jacobs and Prada are making some really exagerated ones that are kinda cute if you want to fork out that kind of money for them. Jacobs also does the Louis Vuitton clothing and shoe line so there are a couple of neat pairs in that collection as well...

I have a pair of Docksides I've had since HS (and we know that was a LONG time ago). I doubt they've ever been in style since I actually bought them and their many predecessors to be ON the dock, lol! But once I moved from FL they didn't get the abuse they usually got and this one pair is still kickin' :)

Think I threw out the skakeskin slouch boots a few years back
Not that the boots in the pic are snakeskin or slouch

I do have a pair of knee high Renaissance boots

Fashion is a Passion for the with it and hip
If you've got the goods they'll come and buy
Just to stay in the click

Hmmm no Docksides but a very comfortable pair of Clarke's I replace about every 5 years

Oh yea, I have a few pairs of Clark's myself. I wore white Clark sandals most of the time in FL. Those and my Ecco tennis shoes get me through the summer. B) I've bought 3 pairs of the Ecco tennis shoes - same style and color. One's long gone, one's for the yard and lake and the other's so far, so good :)
