PSW, INC. FILES ANTITRUST LAWSUIT AGAINST MASTERCARD AND VISA

(Providence, Rhode Island) - PSW, Inc. (www.pswbilling.com), a credit card processing company for internet merchants, filed a lawsuit today in federal district court against MasterCard and Visa alleging violations of various state and federal anti-trust laws and seeking over $240 million in damages. Also named as defendants in the lawsuit are First Financial Bank and First Data Merchant Services, both of which are owned by Colorado based First Data Corporation. The twelve-count complaint also alleges claims for interference with contractual relations, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, conversion, embezzlement, and breach of contract.

well, while I do hope webmasters/companies etc. get paid the money they are owed by PSW, then I do have mixed feelings about the lawsuite, and how it can effect current activate processors, and merhcant account holders... I hope it settles out of court...

I know we are all nervous about them pulling processing for adult sites all together, but can that every *really* happen without them being sued some more? I don't know which is worse, doing this or doing nothing ... :unsure:

We just need 1 point in our favor to show that visa are discriminating against adult entertainment ...

Well, it's still an ongoing saga so I don't say too much.....but really....I expected more people to band together against Acacia...and they didn't...so trying to imagine them banding together against Visa? It is to laugh...

Things are very very well, CJ...not around all that much these days....I'm one of those losers that couldn't handle it in the current market and dropped out.. :biglaugh:

I miss most everyone, though...hard to shrug off 8 years of good times...left with some very good friends I see almost daily, and those I don't see nearly often enough...

I don't remember much of that side show, except that I was a nervous newbie, took ages to get up the guts to ask a question ... nobody understood a word I said, and you got me with a 1 liner that had the room in stitches for ages.
