Patrick Deuel, 42, of Valentine, Nebraska, weighed 1,072 pounds when he was admitted to Sioux Falls' Avera McKennan Hospital eight weeks ago. Deuel, who is just under 6 feet tall, is on a 1,200 calorie-a-day diet.

At 1072 pounds, he would need to take in 14,236 in calories (the equivalent of 20 Big Macs with Cheese) to maintain his body weight. On the 1200 calorie diet the hopsital has him on (two Big Macs without cheese) he would lose about 4 pounds of fat a day. The rest is probably water loss.

At this rate he'll be able to see his penis in about a year.
