Any webmaster programs and paysites sell recently?

Just curious what kind of money is being paid for "successful" pay-sites/proggy's...???
And what are the multiples being based on? revenues? income? net profit?

Doing research for a potentail seller.

The news isn't good for your friend
It's a very dangerous and uncertain market = buyers market

Previous rule of thumb was purchase price should equal last years income

But now
The sites have no value (unless it's all exclusive content with proper docs and license to use in any fashion)

What has value is
Recurring Customer base
Customer Data
Webmasters/affiliates & Webmaster/affiliate data
Traffic

At best I say market value is = to last 6 months revenue provided the revenue isn't in decline
