This is such a fucked up case but it seems crazy that the court can prevent them from seeing eachother now that he is an adult.

From what I've heard, he wants to raise their kids together. She totally fried his brain :( If a man had gotten a 6th grader pregnant, violated probation and got her pregnant AGAIN, then he would have HOPEFULLY been put away for longer than 7.5 years. She should have rotted in there, IMHO.
Doesn't her family (ex-husband and kids) live in Alaska now?

While I agree there is definitely a double standard, the fact remains, she did her time, he is now an adult, I don't know why they shouldn't be allowed to be uhappily married like anyone else...

Her ex does live in AK but Im not sure if he is in Anchorage. I guess I don't know what the normal sentence is for a man impregnating a 12 year old but it doesnt seem like these child rape convictions get nearly a long enough.
The local paper ran a story in the last year about a couple who started "dating" when she was 15 or so and he was 30 something. He went to jail for statutory rape but they stayed together and have been married for 15 years or something.
I wonder what the custody of her kids will be? Its surprising that they were allowed to visit her in prison.

Her story was on Lifetime last night. But, of course you never know how much the facts and characterizations were changed. There is no way a 12 yr. old boy could be as mature as he was protrayed.
