With the Markem hearing looking bad for Acacia, and the chances of Acacia's patents not being worth anything - I look back upon all the people who settled.

One person stands out. Larry Flynt. The person who in recent years has spent a lot of time and money crafting an image as freedom fighter. As someone who stood up for the rest of "US" ( Americans in general and Pornographers specificaly), yet when it came to facing down Acacia and their extortion he bent over and took it in the ass.

Larry has only been out for Larry, always has, always will. He is no savior at all. He is Acacia's bitch!! ( even though I still have some supsicions that he played the market and probably made a bundle trading ACTG stock timing it for when the settlement was announced!)

Some of the larger companies who settled came from Video - the principals don't really give a flying F___ about the Internet.

Some just thought it was easier (and cheaper) to roll over. A lot of 'fight is gone out of this Industry. Too many other challenges to occupy their time. We also don't know what kind of 'Sweatheart Deals" they got to let Acacia use their name to scare other companies into submission.

It is remarkable to get 12 companies to agree on anything!
