The Sox NEED to trade pedro either this year or next year to be a contender. And i can back this up;)


Pedro is injury prone, sure he CAN show up postseason (which at this point is bginning to look like a long stretch) but think about it. trade deadline... Jamie Moyer, Ben Sheets in a double trade, Mike Matthews and Cedeno and cash going to the Brew Crew who are strapped for cash, and teetering on the verge of elimination in the Cardinal dominated NL central. The cards use the money to buy randy johnson for the stretch run. .The Sox Sign Aaron Boone on a free agency contract,cheap, and you have a gold glove, switch hitting third baseman in the middle of you order batting right between Trot and Manny, or as a leadoff guy. Or go after Jack Wilson from the pirates and move him to third.


Then maybe you make the series;)

what do you think? Boston's single minded fixation on Pedro is hurting them, not helping them


or dammit trade nomar, jack wilson is a better SS anyway:)

Rolen is the second best all around player in the Major leagues, behind barry bonds

but i would give the nod to rolen. 3B is a lot tougher position that Left field;)

Pudge has the opportunity to be the best catcher ever. He has better numbers than Fisk, and anyway Bench was better than fisk. remember game 6, fisk's home run, you Sox fans forget about the next game, when you lost the series to the reds;)

he is indeed hot right now.


I am not denying that he is a great hitter. Hes just nowhere near the best numbers wise.

.342 is like 20th in the Majors. you really think hell pass bonds for average or Rolen for RBI's?
