View Full Version : Is Brad a lier?

Yesterday Brad "little weasel" Tukhman Shaw made a claim that he is a self made man and made $1,000,000 in 1997. I called it a lie and offered $50,000 if he can prove it.

What is YOUR opinion? Who is now $50,000 lighter, me or Brad "little weasel" Tukhman Shaw?

1997 wasn't he and a guy that he bribed on the inside at Infoseek doing SE's?

Wasn't that the time when he was BRAT Shaw whining like a lil bitch on YNOT ?

I think your 50k is safe.

Brad "little weasel" Tukhman Shaw has no honour.

If I recall correctly (and could be wrong) 1997 would have been when Brad was just starting Teen Goddess and begining to expand to a few other sites

Don't remember if the piss between Serge and Brad on Ynot (which had all sorts of weird paranoid shit including threats to call the police) was in 1997 or 1998 but I think early 1998

So I don't think Brad did 1,000,000 USD in 1997

Serge,

Not off hand mate. Before my time. But I can ring Dean and find out!

:P

Doesn't mean it didn't happen, but from my research and knowing many who had exceeded the mil per year on those days, I don't remember Brad being mentioned in those conversations. You, Ron, Dean, JB (?) and some of the others, but not Brad.

Shit I don't think even the original PB had hit that mark in 97, but I could be wrong there (was it 96), although I am almost sure PG did it first.

Would that be a correct assumption?

What can I say - I am a student of history, and the subject is fascinating.

Early 97, it was still 2-3 cents depanding on the program
IEG, babenet, WebPower, CE's FastCast was closed to new webmasters at that time.

Late 97 is harder to pin down, thats when conversion ratios started to matter
PH was at around 4 cents a click, CE and Intergal invented conversion tables.
SergesCash was around 4.5 cents i think

how come it seems that every time one of these arguments pop up, the year everyone got started goes back a year.

There were very few legitimate adult millionaires in 1997, maybe 1-2% of those that made it in the years that followed.

History always repeats itself. You learn from past mistakes, and build a better model of what got you where you are, plug the leaks, eliminate the greed, settle for smaller immediate margins, and you can make anything work again, just in different form or substance.

Sorry Meni, but Brad is a shithead.... IMHO

look at it this way, clinton lied about a BJ no harm done ...

Serge it is best to keep your friends out of your checkbook, or at least seperate the two wholly.

Think of how our relationship blossomed after we got out of that nasty click business, ya old dog;)

One of the problems with the adult industry, is too many people think the people they meet at parties and start doing business with are their friends. In doing business and being successful, there is a certain amount of bullshit and backbiting that needs to be done. Survival of the fittest. Thats why it is best not to get ones feelings hurt over business transactions.

If the man who fucks you is a theif and a friend, just go out to lunch after you take him for all he's worth in court;)

Brad's a nice guy, neer had a problem with him. Went to his wedding, along with MikeAI, and many others. Had a wonderful time. Never made much with his programs, but never really tried them.

as for assholes, sure, rip me a new one, for old times sake;) but be gentle!

What did Brad do to raise such venom, serge? I honestly don't know.

He's still my friend i don't take them and drop them depending on my mood. a friend is a friend is a friend, until such friend oes something to damage that friendship.

Its a way of living that has worked for me. Friendhsip is hard to earn, and should be equally hard to lose.

no but as i said before, if i had to wager a guess, i would say know, that was very early. he is younger than I, and i certainly didnt make 1 million in 1997, in fact, i was a junior in college. which would have put him alongside me. I do know h made more than i did coming out of the gate, or at least converation fodder back thn indicted so.

so if i were to wager a guess, i would say no.
