is it worth to update to Civilization 3?

anybody plays it online and eager to be my sparring partner?

I played it when it first came out and liked it. It's worth playing especially as there is a lack of big-picture strategic games right now. Age of Empires, Rise of Nations, etc. all seem like the same game. It's been so long since I played Civ II that I can't remember to compare to III.

I'm all played out now.

Civ3 is a HUGE improvement over Civ2.

It will take some getting used to, but I dont think you'll ever go back.

"regular" civ3 could not be played online. They released an expansion called "Play the World!" to play online.


You can get both together in the Gold edition:

I have all the updates and I think they are well worth it Serge!! :okthumb:

It's a great game though I've never used the online aspect of the game myself.

Also, make sure you get BOTH of the updates for Civ III. There is the Play The World update and the Conquests update.
