From Lewrockwell.com, a free-market site (that hates Bush, by the way):

"Here's a fun conspiracy theory. GOP operatives and/or White House neocons worry that the Plame investigation is getting too close. So they arrange to have Illinois Republican senatorial candidate Jack Ryan's divorce papers, containing all the sex club allegations, made public. Ryan quits the race. Guess who's being touted by GOP officials as a possible replacement candidate? Patrick Fitzgerald, the special counsel investigating the Plame leak. Remember, you heard it here first."

Now that's something right out of a Tom Clancy novel. And it's not all that far-fetched compared to Bush-Hitler-Halliburton planned 9/11. Something tot hink about. See, if I were a leftist, I'd focus on more reasonable ideas like this one, than calling bush a cokehead and such.

Ryan wasn't polling very well anyway ... talk in Springfield is that the national party has written off the race already, and that the person who will run will be someone with their own mony who is looking to establish some name recognition for a future run for something.
