I swear you can order anything these days off the internet. I've had 2 flat tires in the last week and 30K miles on my tires (hard miles B) ) so I needed some new tires. Especially since I'm going to be driving to MS and back next weekend.

Asked around and many people recommended http://www.tirerack.com They have recommendations and reviews for all the tires and have listings of installers near you. I ordered 4 new tires, they're being delivered to a tire store in town (in MY town, not even in the burbs :) though it was the only one anywhere near me....), installed and balanced for $7.50 each. And they were as much as $30 less EACH than what they sold for elsewhere.

I just love the internet. :rokk:

Excellent
we do almost everything online now, we pay all the bills, do our grocery shopping (I love Albertsons.com), order pizza, etc. all online.

I know, I was like that in Marietta. Unfortunately, no one really delivers here, which is why I so happy they'd deliver them directly to the installers :)

I used Peapod in Marietta and really liked it - I actually spent less because I wasn't wandering down the aisles sticking impulse things in my cart. :awinky:

Wish we had an Albertsons here....

tire reviews are a nice perk of the internet :)

I'm going to have to change my cooper cobra GTs this summer possibly.

can't make myself use peapod yet though....its like a 20% markup, and i'd have to be here to accept them. shopping is fun anyway, i've even gotten chicks numbers at the near-depaul-dominicks before i started seeing my current girlfriend :groucho:

Yeah, it cuts down on the impulse buy, it cuts down and piling the kids into the minivan and herding them into the grocery store so they can throw 3 different temper tantruns in three different locations, fighting with the blue hairs for a parking spot, and the $2.25 per gallon gas...

The $9.95 delivery charge is painless compared to all of the chaos.

Cant remember the last time I bought tires. If tires are worn out, it's time for a new ride.

If I wasn't driving to MS twice in the next 30 days, I'd agree with you, but I have 6K more miles before the warranty expires and I refuse to get rid of a car before the warranty expires :)

Though I'm starting to think about keeping it. Because it's such a piece of crap American car, it's worth about 1/2 what I owe on the damn thing. I may just fork out a few hundred $$ and extend the warranty. :(
