does civil war appear to be inevitable now?

just so I understand correctly...

we said "got to get the weapons" there were no weapons.

then we said to hell with the weapons, we went to get saddam.....

but now we give him back?

and what will the insurgents do, or the loyalist, now that they have another goal than just revenge?

why exactly did we go to Iraq and spend billions of dollars again?
you know us stoners get confused when things get this complex...

I think it's an awful idea and not sure it will happen. Bremer said "legal custody and physical custody can be two separate things".

Must be pressure from Red Cross!

There are some legal issues to work out. Saddam will probably not last the year.

It's times like this, that I ask myself, "what would Vic Mackey do?".

The solution is obvious, turn him over to the Iraqis....just make sure that the Iraqis that pick him up have all had family members who were tortured and killed by Saddam's thugs if not have spent time in his prisons themselves.

Yeah, Lem was really bumming... plus he was scared to death they were going to get caught.

The finale was excellent. I am liking the Shield even more than 24!

jokes>

A man walked into a cowboy bar and ordered a beer just as President Bush appeared on the television. After a few sips, he looked up at the television and mumbled, "Now, there's the biggest horse's ass I've ever seen." A customer at the end of the bar quickly stood up, walked over to him, and decked him. A few minutes later, as the man was finishing his beer, Mrs. Bush appeared on the television. "She's a horse's ass too," said the man. This time, a customer at the other end of the bar quickly stood up, walked over to him, and knocked him off his stool. "Damn it!" the man said, climbing back up to the bar. "This must be Bush country!" "Nope," the bartender replied. "Horse country!"

In 2000, the two major party presidential candidates agreed that Americans were seeing too much inappropriate material in popular entertainment. However, they disagreed on the details. The Republican candidate, George W. Bush, stated that there is too much bloody violence in the movies and on television. Vice President Al Gore, his Democratic opponent, stated that the media present Americans with too much sex and frontal nudity.
In other words, Bush said there was too much gore, and Gore said there was too much bush.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

Mohandas Gandhi

Look at Iraq as the ocean, and the few drops as the bad guys... Does Gandhi make sense now? :)

Joe, I think the evening out part is you realizing how many people here have a certain disdain for both and more balanced view.

There is simply not as much blind support on Oprano for either side.
