No, unfortunately I bot them last week and got out with a loss on Thursday..,

Bad timing, but that's how it goes sometimes when trying topick the low.

I will be looking to buy a 2-3 day pull back if we get it.

VERY sharp move today....I haven't seen bonds rally like that in a while...
I guess it happens every time when MAJORITY gets bearish and short mofo's like there is no tomorrow

Inflation means expect high interest rates and low bond prices. Monetary policy has been horrific (printing new money out of control) -- inflation is high -- much higher than being reported. And before you cite the CPI or Core Index, let me remind you of a favorite government tactic:

From Murray Rothbard's Making Economic Sense

The concoction of the "core rate" is a plausible-seeming example of a racketeering general principle: if you want to make inflation go away, simply take out the price categories that are rising most rapidly. Lop off enough prices, and you can make it seem that there is no inflation at all, ever. Find some excuse for taking out all the rising categories, call whatever is left the "base rate," and presto-changeo! inflation is gone forever.

Buff, you mixed up with somebody we are not, we are NOT economists, we are the traders trying to make a few bucks on bond movements...
"The business we in is not question you WHY,
the business we're in is to SELL and to BUY"

and this sums it all, your economic theories included.

(BTW, TODAY people who beleived in what you quoted losing their shirts, undewear and kids inheritances)
;-))))

Buff,

I concur with what Serge has said. I am not hear to explain it, but to make money.

With that said, I do agree with your macro view of the eefects of fiat currency, inflation, et al.

However, this is something we have been dealing with for decades. Forecasting lower bond prices / higher rates based on this fundamental observation has not produced results in 20 years.

While I believe that ultimately you will be proven correct, timing it is another story.

Everything else is academic.

Sounds good. My analysis was not geared to day trading -- just the current infaltion/interest rate trend.

Serge, with bonds retracing 3/4 points this morning, I am starting to scale into longs.

104.12-17/USU4 should be resistance turned support.

There's only one for 2-3 counties around here and I'm pretty sure they know Wig on a first name basis and would just figure he forgot to pay the wine bill, not that he was robbing them. :nyanya:

They are just lucky I decided not to open a Liquor store and compete (that is if i can get past the good ole boy network).

Knowing what I spend on wine/booze every month, it is reason enough. :hic:

thanks. hopefully we will close above 105.07 which will be my next signal that a rally to 107 +/- is still in the making.

We are really at a critical, do or die level in bonds/notes from a short-term perspective.
