Sponsor Switching....what do you do?

We have some highly targeted traffic coming in from google.....how long do you let a sponsor run before testing someone new....

400 hits?
500?

i would like to hear some other webmasters thoughts on this....
btw....currently running on this traffic in order....

purecash
topbucks

If you like i can post conversions fr this type of traffic if the program owners have no objections.....

What are the search terms ? What site are you sending it to?

err uhhh you really can't tell shit with 4-500 uniques.

5K clicks is a good rule...if it's a good sponsor you've used before mebbe even more just to make sure. That last 1000 could bring a burst of sales and average the ratio out.

edit...checking your stats at every 4-500 clicks will result in you having a nice, prolonged pyschotic episode.

Pure Anal has actually been converting pretty well for us.

Our other vids sites have as well, Pure Teen, and Black Cock Down.

Mike...the more i shake off the rust on my way out of retirement the more i will have to spread around...our 1st traffic generator is live and working much better than expected....

If you know your traffic... and you expect say 1:250 average sort of signup ratio off it... then 10 x that, 2500 is about the right amount for a test imho.

same deal with my tranny trafffic, if the new sponsor hasnt gotten a sale off the first 1200 on it, then it's conversions arent going to be in line with the quality of the traffic.

You're overlooking a lot of factors...considering this is summer, kiddies are home all day and online and they don't have CC's, dad's are on vacation with laptops with mom in the other room etc., - whether you're marketing the product right, and whether you just hit a bad run of traffic.

You won't be able to make a decisive decision with less than 5K of traffic. Once you know your traffic you'll get a feel about what niche/free/paid etc., it wants - but you still have to give it a chance to convert and judge whether you're marketing it right and you just can't do it with under 5K and that's a bare minimum. If it's a reputable sponsor...I say 10-15K is a better number.

You have to also consider...are you tracking the clicks out - or relying on sponsors to tell you the clicks. You start swapping sponsors that aren't converting at 1:500 or better after a couple thousand clicks - hope you've got a lot of pepto bismol.

Minimum of 5000 IMHO though if it is a super targeted term like facesitting I would say less like 2-3k.

Average ... 5K
Targeted ... 2-3K
Redirects, forced, blind link, 404s, "Chinese", etc ... 10K
