Everest? I have never been to Everest. I have however seen it from a place called the Restaurant at the End of the Universe about a half an hour outside of Khatmandu. Everest was mentioned as a figurative by Serge and I responded. I have never told great tales of travel but brought them up in conversations about same. But I do like to travel. Ask me what you like about a lot of places and I will tell you what I know. As for the biz, I actually have no idea what most of you do or your history. I never ask because no one talks about it. I have told you I run websites successfully. What is it you do?

Oh, btw, I do have a very good knowledge of the history of the business. Just not necessarily your end of it because it seems we don't work the same markets or do the same business or I am sure I would have heard of you.

Mine is the usual curiosity as well. It seems that most here complain about how bad business is and how the gold rush is over and blah blah blah. It behooves me to keep an eye on what does not work and not make the same mistakes. There are however pearls among all the pickles that do help me make strategic decisions. The conversation can be amusing and at times, stimulating, unlike other boards. And a few people here have actually travelled which in itself is a breath of fresh air. I have yet to figure out why i am berated for my travels though. Through the grace of God and good fortune, I have managed to travel to more places than most ever will. But I made that decision in my twenties so I have a long history of it. If I hadn't travelled, I would probably be much richer than Mike. One Cobra would take me around the world. Cobra - world? I rest my case.

That is a perception. What folks think is what folks think. It is not a status symbol, it is my life. I understand you post a few pictures and that is a good thing. I have seen them and they are nice. Status is in the eye of the beholder. You use your money and position as a status symbol. Your over the top bets, your diatribes on how much money has been made or lost. Your rags to riches history. I don't really care if that is how you care to make your mark in the world. Well, I have never had the pleasure of having failed. I always make sure that what I do, I do well. Education, smarts mixed in with a little hard work and luck take care of that. Now taking the failure and turning it into success is very admirable trait, as is humility, but I do not believe that I have ever met anyone that actually accomplished anything in this world that did not fail a few times along the way and the best and the brightest of them were smart enought and humble enough to admit their failures.
