I just watched the last part of the Angels in America mini-series and wanted to tell someone how brilliant I thought it was! I'm not a huge TV fan.. but I have been sucked totally into watching this one in 2 hour episodes each night this week.

The entire thing was run over 3 consecutive nights here.. but it's on in 1hr parts over 6 weeks in the US, with part 2 tonight on HBO (http://www.hbo.com/apps/schedule/ScheduleServlet?CHANNEL=All+Channels&ACTION_SEARCH=SEARCH&KEY=TITLE&VALUE=angels+in+america)

Anyone else watch/ing this?

"I do not have AIDS, AIDS is something homosexuals get, I have LIVER CANCER."

Recorded and burned to DVD the first time it was on, thought it was fantastic

Pacino is awesome in every scene.. he plays evil perfectly :-))

I like the bit near the end where he fakes being dead, just be to be an asshole to the ghost of his dead wife one more time before he croaks.

Do you recall his line praising Reagan? I'd love to quote it if I could recall the words... quite timely too.

That ghost isn't his wife. It's the ghost of Ethel Rosenberg, who was executed because of his illegal intervention into her trial. Or did i totally miss something?

I enjoyed the movie, even if i didn't get the point. The wife's valium trips were hilarious.
