WebSideStory files for $57.5 million IPO

I remember the night they launched. It was a race for #1 on their top counter list.

I know Serge remembers this as well.

Wow

Mike, I don't know much about WebSideStory, but this is from the article:

"In an echo of the dot-com heyday, WebSideStory is hoping to IPO before turning an annual profit. Formed in September 1996, the company bartered its services for online advertising space for its first few years in business. It began charging for its services in mid-1999, and finally stopped trading its services for advertising in December. Last year it had a net loss of $1.9 million on revenue of $16.4 million. The company squeaked into the black last quarter, turning a profit of $141,000 on revenue of $5 million. "

The article goes on to say they currently have $7.1 million on hand at the moment, and they will use the proceeds of the IPO to "pay off holders of preferred stock" and for working capital.

Let me know how many shares you buy.

I remeber both,
John Ferber nad how webside story, the CREATION of Joe Holler, was stolen from undernith him,
his contract violated and leaving him dried.

what a mothefucking COCKSUCKERS!
I only wish them ONE thing...I want them go public,
their shares rise to the sky, while the owners hold restricted stock and can't sell it,
I want them to FEEL like they are billionairs and...by the time they can sell I wanna see the stock near ZERO.

That would put the smile onm Holler's face too.

only TWICE???????

it was much more than that
;-(((

The guy who invented:
blind linking,
free hosting,
adult counting ad model,
was fucked by EVERYBODY who saw his ideas and stole them blindly.

The ONLY fault he had was:
lack of concentration on ONE idea,
but I guess INVENTING was more fun for him than capitalizing on those inventions
;-(

What a joke, 57MM. I wouldn't pay 1 for that pile of crap. Thing is, they are probably so entrenched managment top heavy. If "someone" came in wiped out all the windowboxes, Webside could turn a penny or two.
