I see they've re-made The Manchurian Candidate but I'm pretty sure that it won't measure up anywhere near the original 1962 release.

Interesting to see Meryl Streep in the role of Mrs. Iselin. She'll probably do a good job of it and maybe even come close to the amazing performance of Angela Lansbury in the original.

I dunno if I'll run out to see this one right away, but it'll probably be worth the price of the ticket.

I just watched that a year or so ago and it instantly became one of my favorites! :) I rarely watch remakes. I just don't see how you can improve on really good movies and watching someone try is just frustrating <_<

not quite the remake.. denzel washington plays sinatras part, and it is set during the gulf war...

coincidently, the original was on the other night... i love that movie. certainly showed sinatras acting chops, that few knew he had.

on the denzel front. Man on Fire has to be the most kick ass movie of the year. talk about intense and violent, his character is ruthless. More hardcore than his training day character. and shot well two, worth the 6.50, go see it.

Agreed Peaches...

I won't be running out to see this one until I've heard some feedback.
The original is incredible.

Wasn't it actually banned for 20 years or something?
