Really. On the off chance that there are any Democrats around here (that can read), please heed my warning - SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Nothing we say can can POSSIBLY damage the chances of GW and the Republican party than what they are doing to themselves.

Senator John McCain, a former Navy pilot who went UA for 5 years at a Hilton hotel in Hanoi, questions the wisdom of cutting taxes in the midst of a war.

Speaker of the House Dennis Hasert responds in a completely off point manner, suggesting that Senator McCain check out the military hospitals for the sacrifice. Any "child left behind" with a public school education would know that his response was absolutely irrelevant, and pretty fucking dumb to boot.

Texas Senator John Cornyn (who, like Hasert, never wore the uniform of any of the military services) took it one step further. He suggested that McCain and Senator John Warner (Navy, WWII; Marine Corps, Korean War; Secretary of the Navy, Ronald Reagan administration) were unpatriotic for their roles in the hearings on the Iraqi prisoner debacle.

So please ... SHUT THE FUCK UP. Let these asswipes self-destruct all on their own.

McCain said specifically that all Americans need to feel the sacrifice of war and therefore taxes should not be cut....

McCain said that tax cuts are inappropriate during war time because we all need to feel the sacrifice.

Hastert said if McCain wants to see the sacrifice he should visit the hospitals and such.

So yeah, I do.

That doesn't mean I'd vote for either of the bastards.

ROFLMAO!!

Anybody who thinks John McCain doesn't understand the sacrifices of men and women in uniform is an idiot of immense proportions.

Denny ain't the brightest bulb in the box. I still don't think that his response was even close to the point. McCain was talking about funding for the war - even a dense pornographer with a private school education should be able to understand that.
