comes under attack like some of the boards do?

I have a likely suspect in mind, and never see that person here.
is there better security here, or is it the mods? what gives, anybody know?

hey that is alright by me, at least the family here is more of a reality..

that whole BP4L thing is just a bunch of horse poop!

and all that follow it are blind, and most of them are broke, I understand more and more as each passing month goes by.

real drama is OK in my book, as it has valid merrit to it and needs to be adressed.

however the fake nic, and fake family bullshit is something entirely made up and has no place other than determining who the idiots are, IMHO

If I owned a restaraunt like boneprone claims he does, then last year when serge was in Oregon and wanted to stop by to see Boneprones restaraunt. instead of not responding to serge like BP did!

I would have closed my doors, and allowed only serges party in the whole night. in hopes that he would tell everyone what a great place I had. (why would anyone with an opportunity like that pass it up, unless they aare hiding something?)

We have had our fair share of attacks, but none that were long term that we could not handle on a server/network side.

Joe, Bonaprone is a bafoon....as simple as that and your assesment is very right on the money.

As for attacks,
we welcome them,
for soem reasons, those attacks increase click thru counts to sponsors in magnitude power of 3.....those attacks make us money

Joe is right on the mark with Boneprone and some of the other GFY "celebs"

While they are entertaining sometimes, none of them have much to share business wise.... and most lack bigtime success.

They also tend to get jealous when other board whores take the spotlight from them....

..and this si why I don't go there anymore.

Life is too short to waste it on nobodies, and business life is even shorter
;-)))

Joe, I glad you discovered what GFY sponsors discovered long ago:
lots of movements on the board and very little traffic available,
as one can never find the black cat in the black room,
especially if the cat never been there to begin with
;-))))

I think a board, can and should be both a great form of entertainment, and a great place to advertise your wares, while doing business with your fellow business minded people.

it is the people that gets blurred, not the line ...

I understand Serge, what you are saying, so that is why I think a good mixture of entertainment, and bussiness is what is needed. ( to much of either makes it not a perfect world IMHO)

I was just curious as to the technical aspect of the attacks that take place
more than the personal attacks.

Exactly, and the more I search, the more I discover...
it only takes one meeting in person for that whole facade to be blown.

I do not get how that can help anyone. unless going to party is the only reason for going to the show.

and that could be done with good people as well as fake people, so what is the point of being fake? it can only last so long

you will always find someone with an oppossing view point so the need to be fake on a position is a moot point IMHO

take a position that you believe in, and defend it. the drama will come, and it can be real, allowing for true business, and true points of view to be discussed on their merrits!

Joe would you pull a candy assed bullshit attack on a board that has Edd as an administrator who is backed up by our own Security expert of Kevin Mitnick?

While the other boards sing it.... Oprano brings it!

All boards need to have their own identity and GFY and Oprano are quite the opposite in theirs.

I come here for more serious discussion and on GFY I get to let loose and let out my inner high school smart ass.

Not sure why they get attacked more but could be due to some people over there having a thin skin and not being able to deal with it.

Hell, I (alledgedly) had someone from that board call Child Protective Services on me (he only posts there because he's been banned from everywhere else and he's a known scammer (and not even a very good one at that...he's a very small nickle and dime scammer)).

not really

Even though GFY isn't the be all, end all of industry "pros" I don't feel it hurts to expose your prooduct to different people and sometimes in a different way.

Example: if I post something serious and of substance here, I'll likely get someone interested in the program. On GFY by acting like a good naturd smartass and having the higher post count, I get people from there checking out the program.

It's all about knowing your audience and tailoring your message to them.

WTF. You mean all this time that I've been moderating on YNOT I was doing it for free? Next I suppose you'll tell me not to expect my check for hosting The Porn Professors on YNOT Radio.

I do think YNOT is an excellent board, especially for newbies, but I'm beginning to become rather fond of this board too. :rokk:
