OK, you heard it here first.

I am totally fucking addicted to reality TV - can't get enough of the shit !!

Something about my lifelong fascination with the behaviour of people I would suggest...

10 years on-and-off of bouncing and/or running nightclubs, strip clubs and brothels LONG before reality TV cam into being probably conditioned me like that.....

I am a sucker for:

Survivor (the best of them all)
Big Brother
The Block (Aussie reality renovation show)
The Apprentice
Temptation Island
The Mole (Aussie version - is this on elsewhere in the world?)
The Bachelor/Bachelorette
Average Joe
Joe Millionaire

Might as well just take me out the back and shoot me...

The Swan
Survivor
The Apprentice
I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here
The Simple Life
The Osbournes
The Joe Schmoe Show

I don't really consider them as reality tv as much as game shows:
Fear Factor
Dog Eat Dog

None. I've seen some of those shows once or twice but have been pretty disappointed with them for the most part. Haven't stuck with any of them. The previews for this season look even worse. NASCAR reality? I'll pass.

Another nice pickup on the Osbornes... I hadn't really thought of it as reality when writing this thread, because their life is so fucking surreal !

I have enjoyed the PBS shows.. Frontier House was cool and Colonial house is suppose to be starting next week I think.

I watched a show years ago in Canada that was really cool as well. I don't remember the name of it but it was alot like Frontier House only it was made several years before. I loved that show..

I never could get into reality TV at all.

Only thing I watch on TV is Soprano's, Deadwood, The Sheild, and sports & news.

However sometimes at night I will watch the stupid dating shows with Katie. 5th Wheel, and Elimidate.

I stick to the news when I want "reality," however I will admit to watching the last episode of the Apprentice...

If I were that guy I DEFINITELY would have chosen managing the golf course project with the 5 to 15 million dollar homes. But that's just me.... I'd LOVE to learn how a golf course is done. Tips for the yard at home... hahahaha

I can't remember where I saw it, but I saw a simulator game where you have to build and manage a golf course....maybe that could be a training game for you? (I've heard tale of a couple of our city councilmen here playing Sim City 3000 to learn how to manage a city ;-))

...and not sure if it counts but the kids suckered me into American Idol this year... can't believe I watch it every week.

Hub watches hours & hours of court TV stuff & the Swan, but otherwise that's about all the "reality TV" on in our house.

The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and ER.... those are my addictions. :awinky:

heheh, I feel the same way about The Swan....I know I should be hating it, but I tear up like a little girl with a skinned knee over some of their stories and love the final revels....and I'm just waiting for a woman to lose it and punch the beauty pageant manager (or whatever that uppity bitch does) right in the face...

This just started in Oz..UK show.

..During the beginning of the show, the six men were presented with a lineup of beautiful women and asked to pick the one that they found most attractive. All of them selected a South American beauty named Miriam. Then, in typical reality dating show fashion, they competed to win her affections.

However, unknown to the men, Miriam wasn't a woman. Instead, she was a preoperative transsexual ...

At the end of the show, when the program had its "grand reveal" and the men found out that the "gorgeous creature" Miriam wasn't a gorgeous female, they went bonkers. One of the men, a Royal Marine, supposedly broke down crying from the "humiliation" when the deception was revealed ...

hahahahahahah

I generally dont do reality tv. I find COPS amusing sometimes, probably the original reality TV show. I've watched the Osbournes and American Chopper. That's about it.

Only 3 must see shows on TV for me, in order of preference are The Shield, Deadwood and Sopranos.

Beyond that, TV is usually on, but just for background, and it's very likely that it's on something like Discovery, History Channel, or a movie on HBO, StarZ or one of their brethren...

With all that said though, I have to admit "The Casino" has sparked my attention....

I tried to get into that but I just had to stop after the first trial... After making the guys swim something like a mile to Miriam's boat they all had to kiss him when they climbed on board :barfon:

The six contestants are trying to sue Sky One over it but Sky had them all sign a pretty bullet-proof waver before filming, so who knows.

The poor Royal Marine has had to leave the forces because of the ridicule... I wouldn't care he only lives like 5 miles away from here…

Voo,

You work for Tony... you know a bottle of Grey Goose goes a long way as icebreaker... lol...

The greenskeepers at courses I've played at regularly are nice fellows that don't mind talking turf with an interested listener... Call ahead, ask for the greenskeeper, and see when a good time is to drop off 'spirited gift' in exchange for some gab... worst he can do is turn ya down...

IMHO your yard already looks too fucking good, wtf do you need more advice for ya showoff! .... lol...

Love NYPD Blue and Law & Order. They're showing episodes from the first series 5 nights per week down here on fox classics. Good stuff. I was really surprised to see the guy that plays Lenny Brischoe as a defence attorney in the first series.

I like the new spinoffs as well. SVU in particular. Criminal intent is pretty silly sometimes, but i like the way they develop the story throughout the show. Just something a little different than the original.

Third Watch is another show i enjoy. Most people i know that like NYPD Blue also like Third Watch.

Reality shows.. To be honest, i can't stand them... except for survivor. I really enjoy that show.
