This question was posed on another board..

So what was the first true reality site?

NebraskaCoeds?

Are sites like ideepthroat.com and wifeysworld.com reality porn?

Fucked if I know.

That is the $64000 question.

Are amatuer sites actually reality?

What's "real" and what's "fake real".

Bang Bus probably best exemplifies what most think of when they think reality, but was it the first or just the best promoted?

I have been wrong before gasp, shock, horror, but that may just be my homophobia.

footnote: OK, the homophobia BS stops now, I hate flogging dead horses TOO much, but damn, that made me laugh till I cried. :groucho:

Reality sites are just another name for Gonzo video that video porn people have been doing for years before the net.

However, BangBus is probably the "first" custom developed Gonzo site for the net. It certainly was the one to catch the imagination ( and traffic) of this industry.

Bangbus was the first "themed" reality site of any note. There might have been before this, but this was the first one that played both a theme and reality very clearly.

You can go back in the video industry and find reality porn examples in things like "Buttman" and such. Ed Powers dirty debutants is a reality porn thing to an extent (and he is SUCH an asshole, and has an award to prove it!). Tons of amateur sites have "real" stuff as well.

The first true reality content was probably in the form of the "Wired Pink" feeds from PersonalPorn/E-Race.

Incidentally now owned by The Sweet Entertainment Group.

Yeah, someone mentioned that on another board.

Any idea when that kicked off?

I know BangBus was like 2001 wasn't it?

bangbus is the biggest and most memorable reality themed site.

reality porn = fake porn if you didn't know. remember, you're average surfer responds to what you consider a cheezy t.v. commercial, works on the internet as well. stupid people ARE your target audience.
