bmrn - buy @ 6.45-6.55 (shares avail at 6.47) start selling at 7.25, take loss at 5.90

plum - buy @ 3.25-3.35 (shares avail at 3.25) start selling at 3.75, take loss at 2.90

lu - buy @ 3.32-3.37 (shares avail at 3.32) start selling at 3.55, take loss at 3.15

actg - buy @ 6.45-6.50 (Shares avail at 6.45) start selling at 6.65, take loss at 6.35

snak - buy @ 3.07-3.15 (shares avail at 3.08) start selling at 3.25, take loss at 2.95

dclk - buy @ 8.37-8.45 (shares avail at 8.37) start selling at 8.65, take loss at 8.15

------------------------------------------------

follow these as close as you'd like i will not be calling off specific times, this is my list that will average 2.5% in about a week. in the event any hold at a gain for a day or two without meeting the anticipated sell price, sell anyway.

i'd also recommend qvdx it is at 2 and a quarter right now....even though they are getting sued for spiking their stock with inflated reports i think this will get bought up at this price and go up a nudge over the next few days, but i'm not going to go for it with my money. I'm thinking it has the possibility to spike 5% at least this week regardless of the suit, because it is down so low.

anyway there they are, take a peek at the current prices and look at a graph at the end of the week. this is how i make my picks and over the year i average very well and pay no tax using my dads retirement fund and getting gifted my earnings.

enjoy. and if you lose the farm, t.s. this should do better than 2.5%

yep you can give your kids tax free gift, irs hasn't said anything my dad handles my taxes.

most of you probably invest with your own retirement funds to enjoy tax benefits but i am not worried about my retirement at all right now, my dad lets me use some of his funds to invest because i can back up any losses if the need be. he's been letting me do this, with smaller amounts of course, since i was 15 and has been following stocks with me since i was 12 its a good thing to do with your kids.

serge you wanted picks you got em so check back on em at the end of the week.

Tell me when you sell so I know when to buy back, otherwise i might get antsy and leave some profit on the table.

i will put ina few extra buy backs if i see fit but wont include those in the 2.5 goal. raytheon (rtn) has been an excellent stock to buy in, dump at 1.5% earnings, buy back etc for YEARS even before 9/11 if you enjoy trading like that keep your eye on that stock and get comfortable with it.

lu used to be but has huge plumets now, i think nows a good time to make a little off it though.

next week one of you can do a similar post and show ME the money, although i know you guys like longer term stuff and enjoy dividends and whatnot.

grogan my son... being successful in the market is about EXECUTION.

Its fine to say things like
"in the event any hold at a gain for a day or two without meeting the anticipated sell price, sell anyway."... and come out smelling rosy.

why can you not just do the simple task of saying EXACTLY when you buy and when you sell and for how much??? Its not that hard. Everything else is smoke and mirrors.

What if a stock gaps up or down past your price ranges? What do you do then? There is no way to say do this... do that... blah blah... just post the damn transactions BEFORE you do them. Its not that hard.

monk, most all stock trading sites let you set a price to sell at.

and then if something is holding and you think it's a good dump point anyway then you can set it to sell.

edit: these particular stocks do enough volume that you will have a seller/buyer on an automatic price. but if this were 4 mill invested in each stock yea it would be different, i dont have millions yet, i am not worth 1 million dollars yet.

in-out-in-out stocks are specifically for watching by the minute as you may decide to up your price on those. this is a good list that you can verify on the charts and have a good amount of people ready to buy at your sell price....

you still didn't address gaps

also, this "sell if you have a gain after a day or two"... is wishy washy and cannot be objectively measured to determine your % return. Sounds like alot of selling with potentially very small gains... and therefore eating away at your principal in your account via the commissions.

"bmrn - buy @ 6.45-6.55 (shares avail at 6.47) start selling at 7.25, take loss at 5.90

plum - buy @ 3.25-3.35 (shares avail at 3.25) start selling at 3.75, take loss at 2.90

lu - buy @ 3.32-3.37 (shares avail at 3.32) start selling at 3.55, take loss at 3.15"

when you say "shares Available".... i don't know about you... but for me and almost everyone else i know, the market makers tend to move the stock up a few cents when individual investors try to buy in and then take the stock back down after you buy.... thereby gouging you a few extra dollars.... so I am not sure there are really shares available at the prices you give.... but we will let this one slide for now.

i said before i'm not buying all these, it's specifically what i consider the best 2.5 or so gain combination. and i realize you will have to give a little leaveway on the buying prices of course, that's why i posted a range for the buy, as you will not get them all at the base i posted.... but the selling price i'm saying thats what you should set them all to sell for most will sell on the way up some will sell on the way down as well.

this is all i promised a stock pick list that'll averabe 2.5 and you can give it a little up and down leave way look at the charts and i'm not talking about 2 million dollar each trades. the first post is all i promised to post, and that was only cuzz serge was so damned pissed about me partially disagreeing with his praise of the 2.5% fdic insured interest.

out of curiosity.... what is your basis for making these stock picks? they are all pretty short term holdings and short term.... markets can go in any direction... so what gets you to buy a stock?

What was made by shorting pushpills picks?

Here's another one looking to test the low
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=bmrn
(take a look at 5 year performance too)

Was very surprised to see Doubleclick and Acacia in the picks, well maybe not so surprised

Edit - I was thinking about just randomly selecting some investments to see how random stocks would do against pushpills suggestions..... hmmmm

give it some time,

monk in that case hold.

what makes me decide a stock is -usually- short term earnings a month or less. or ones that can be put in and out and in and out without too much nervousness

ok, you did say 2.5%+ returns (in a week if I remember correctly)

Two of your picks have hit the sell low youposted, we'll see how the others do

Looking at the chart for http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=bmrn it does look like they are headed for a low too

We'll see

should plum get sold at 6% gain? i don't think so, let's change that hold price to 3.65 to be safe though, i think plum *should* be the best gainer on the list since we are going for the solid 2.5 we'll go safer on this

down overall ( i thought it was more than .5% colin i'll do the full tally monday 2pm), got hit on a couple that barely touched their lows, shoulda called off lu at 3.5 (hit price was 3.55) it's evened down to buy price.

added GTEL friday at 13, sell at 14 or 15 (cents) monday.

plum was the pick of the week, which indeed performed. next week i'll stick with 3 five% gain possibilities, i thought this it was safest to split it over 6 or so stocks so i will just call off my preffered picks this monday.

sell price 3.5 for plum was fine, didnt call it off in this thread (the one where i added gtel), mondays can be weird for tech stocks.

are you rich yet? :)

down, gtel DID hit 14 cents but not for too long, not sure how much of that was sold at 14.

plum was the best pick, sold at 3.5 from 3.25, its at 3.33 now and i think it could be good to pick up again.

i'll toss up a few more pics tomorrow, smaller list, more risk and return is my style.

acacia....worth picking up at this price?

It's been oversold in the last week.

I think the market would have responded better to the excellent results released last week if there hadn't been a cloud of uncertainty of the market in general. Interest rates, Jobs growth etc.

I've been following this one daily for months and I'm convinced it's heading north.

I'll bump this thread when it hits $40.
