My friend Teri's 72 year old father Marvin was diagnosed this time last year with terminal pancreatic cancer. They gave him three to six months, max.

Hospice sent a team of people three times a week to "help".....which made Marvin feel like if he didn't die soon, he might wish he had. My friend's mother Donna (a very bitchy woman) was unnaturally nice to him...Marvin was miserable.

After a month of "dying" Marvin refused any further medical treatment, sent the Hospice people packing, started taking trips in the motor home, resumed his habit of several stiff drinks a day, and is back being hen-pecked and tortured by Donna, who couldn't keep up the unnaturally nice thing once Marvin passed his "sell by date". I talked to Teri yesterday and she says he is doing great. It's been a year now since he was diagnosed.

I just wanted to share the news. Sometimes life is good.

Good story LL.

72 is way too young to go.
