I'm not disagreeing, but I'm curious to hear *your* reasons ... its generally a really difficult time to be in this business, why is it better for women?

Not a BETTER time for women, but it's a great time for women who have ambition. I dunno but in industries where women are a major contributing factor, it just doesn't feel like as much of an accomplishment to be successful. I'm not saying that women who succeed in ANY industry don't deserve notoriety, it just seems so much more rewarding when there's the added challenge of working in a male-dominated industry. I haven't yet met a truly successful female webmistress who wasn't smart, tough, and resourceful. You kind of have to be to put yourself on a level playing field. Personally, I enjoy it that way.

Let me just contribute this...I have no ulterior motive and no secret swerve in setting this up. I honestly want to hear what each of these ladies have to say about the biz from their perspective.

Ive enjoyed working with CJ on this radio project. We dont agree on a lot of small things usually we see eye to eye on the bigger issues.

After hearing a few other shows this week and some whining I figured it would be different to have a sorta panel discussion from a different angle.

I hope this doesnt turn into a "I am woman hear me roar" discussion either. We all work in the same industry and face the same challenges. I for one like to look at all aspects from different angles.

We've developed into an on air forum thats different. We strive to take on a lot of issues that others wont touch in fear of loosing ad revenue. But as youve seen between the 2 of us we try to play it down the middle...yes we both say what we think...but its not a popularity contest but more of a fact finding exercise to present all the facts and allow you to decide what makes sense in taking control and OWNING your business.

And yes as always all my promos are sensationalized. Tune in and be surprised!

I think it's always been a great time to be a woman in this business. I've never subscribed to the notion that I would be treated differently by the professionals in the biz because I am a woman, and I never have been. But it does deem repeating..."by the professionals" which means that quite a few are excluded. LOL

To me, it's been nothing but an advantage to be a woman entrepreneur in this biz. I've always been of the philosophy that you get what you expect. If you walk around dark city streets late at night, whether you're a man or a woman, and your head is dropped down, shoulders shrugged forward, eyes lowered, etc. you're asking to get messed with. But if you walk with confidence, know the playing field and act like you belong there, *most* people will respect you and *most* lowlifes won't bother you.

I get so sick of the cry-babies in this industry, male and female alike…

None of the old schoolers like me cause I've only been around for a year...
No one will send me all of their traffic for free; I mean, I've asked really nicely and all..." blah blah blah
