Please name your favourite right-wing artist... in any field. Just make sure it's someone influential.
Come on all you conservatives, give me a list of right-of-centre artistic giants?
I'd name mine but I don't have one.

It's not likely because a conservative is someone who tends to oppose change and an influential artist usually changed something.
Ted Nugent is an influential guitar player who is conservative by the standards of American politics.

country music largely panders to the low iq neocon crowd.

As does classical music. Whereas "hip hop" mostly entertains the sages of the elite left.

ahaahahahahaahahaha! Surely you jest.
I doubt many hip-hop fans would even know what the term "left wing" meant.

Ashcroft has a music video.
This is what happens when a 2000 year old dead Jew owns your soul

Well first you have to have a soul to be owned
[Labret], that's something you and I don't have to worry about

Why does an artist have to be "influential" to count? Who defines what influential means?
Most traditional "influential artists" tend to be leftists, and out of touch with reality.
That is why we should enjoy their art, but ignore then when it comes to real issues.... ( which I think pretty much happens)

I'd say simply that the artist influenced many people. Like, many guitar players claim to have been inspired by Jimi Hendrix -- so he is influential. You could get a reasonable idea by a well-phrased poll of what artists were influential.

Wagner was an influential right-wing artist. So there.
Think instead about all the political movements throughout history where the conservatives have been shown to correct and far-seeing, such as:
The Inquisition - God WAS pissed.
The McCarthy Hearings - we were being OVERRUN by commies, one in every closet. All those hippies actors and musicians got what they had coming.
Sufferage - I think we know by now that women shouldn't have been given the vote
Civil Rights - now the darkies run everything.
Salem Witch Burnings - lighting a little fire for God in women's hearts.
WW II - Hitler would have left us alone!
Obviously conservatives are the more measured, intelligent half of our population. What conservative shining moments am I leaving off the list?

Lynrd Skynrd is actually the greatest right-wing band of all time.
They did drugs and all that, but they didn't like black people. Conservative icons.
Dig - have you considered switching to decaf? :D
and for left wing (or liberal) fuck ups may I present to you .....
Jimmy Carter
We need the balance between liberals and conservatives
and as much as I may not agree with the left wing - please see above statement
Now back to your influential artists

I didn't know that
What makes you think so?

Hmmmm are you certain they are a "right wing" or conservative band?
Seems I remember the song "Saturday Night Special" was in favor of dumping all handguns to the bottom of the sea
That not a very right wing position
and I quote
"It's the Saturday night special
got a barrel that's blue and cold
ain't good for nothin
but put a man six feet in a hole ....
Hand guns are made for killin',
they ain't no good for nothin' else.
And if you like to drink your whiskey
you might even shoot yourself.
So why don't we dump 'em people
to the bottom of the sea
before some ol' fool come around here,
wanna shoot either you or me."

that was all just a clever trick to fool Jane Fonda into thinking they were on her side.
Sweet Home Alabama is the REAL Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I'd still like to know what I'm forgetting. I want to be persuaded over to the right-wing. Give me some reasons.

Which was in response to Neil Young's "Southern Man" (however Skynyrd were Neil Young fans)
Dig - please don't let obvious facts concern ya

I didn't see johnny cash being a card carrying lefty - nor merle haggard...doubt they'll go down in history to the level of bach - but still good shit.
That was when country music was cool - ass kicking, whiskey drinking country music.
Even elvis was hanging out with nixon...elvis was a narc. I don't remember bach/beethoven/monet/renoir, etc., ever publishing their political leanings.
