I have dealt with Saudis...

they will only lower oil prices if it helps them.

there is another question...

are the saudis better off with bush or keary?

that would help answer the first one

The Saudi's do not want to help Bush. At least one faction wants Bush out of office. They do not like the fact that there is a huge American presence in Iraq, that once stabilized will be pointed towards them.

Saudi Arabia is the world's number #1 supporter of terrorism against the United States. I do not know why Bush wants to continuet o protect them. I guess he thinks the more liberal fraction in the royal family will eventually prevail.

Part of the reason we went into Iraq was to be able to pull our troops from Saudi Arabia, and have them stationed in Iraq.

Mike, you are incorrect on a few counts.

1) the present RULERS of Saudi Arabia DOI support Bush

2) they will lower oil prices before elections

3) we support present rulers of Saudi Arabia because it would be much harder environm, ent to operate in Middle East without them.

There may be lower prices before election, but its not because the Saudis want to cut Bush a break.

There are major elements in the Saudi family that is supporting and helping our enemies and do not want Bush in office the next 4 years.

But when body shop owner hires some kids to blow up the traffic light, then he still gets what he wants.

Sorry Vick.... stepped away to play with my son and eat dinner.

Okay... first, understanding that we are in an up trending market, there are going to be intervening peaks. Some important, some not so.

This year, two dates stand out as potential peaks to me. One I mentioned the other day to Serge which is right now -- April 19-20th.

The other is the end of June (6/24-30th). This represents my "time period(s)" for 2004.

For price. All my price levels are scattered between 38.00 and 44.50.

So far we have reached 37.42/CLM

In early March I said.... "Short term, a weekly close above 36.10/CL will reinvigorate the uptrend and target 44.50/CL".

We have not even reached the lower end of my price range but have rallied into a key cycle period. As a result, i expect that we see a short term high here, followed by a rally into the end of June.

IF the above is true, and we rally into June after a reprieve from here, AND the rally takes us to 42.00-45.00/CL I would speculate to say that is the high for this year (if nothing else, a very important intervening high).

Well in that case the shop owner will fix the next election, using hanging chads to become mayor himself.

:D

Mike, just heard on CNBC:

Saudies just made a statement that they won't interfere with US elections,
but refused to comment if they lower the price of oil
